No regard for the time and money players have invested. Advise players to spend their time and money cautiously on any WB game. WB is closing down Magic Awakened servers after one year while having the full capability of transferring the playerbase's data to NetEase's servers. After that announcement, I'd think twice before spending any money or putting in any of my time into this game. They've shown that they do not care about their playerbase and will just decide to shut down servers even if there is a fully viable alternative to respect their playerbase's time, community and the money they spent on their games. Honestly, this move has made WB even worse than EA..

Horrible promotion tactics honestly. WB canceled Harry Potter Magic Awakened without noticed. People put time and energy into the game for the grind and also spent money. It was the best thing going for them on mobile. Will never understand why get rid of HPMA and leave that worthless Hogwarts Mystery. Of course the WB devs are greedy, we can’t transfer our profiles to servers that’s still active and then comes this horrible promotion for Quidditch with barely real gameplay. This community was passionate about this game. Moreso than any gaming community I think I've ever seen. This community was ready to stand beside the devs and cheer on Day 1, and dedicated years worth of time to it. It stings that, not only did they betray their community, they refuse to even talk to the community any more. Pure radio-silence on all communication channels to avoid having to address the issues the playerbase has, despite how much trust and love we gave them.

What also makes me mad is I am really curious on gameplay. You'd think they'd get some YT/streamers to do some gameplay footage for them. The lack of transparency for the gameplay so close to launch has me feeling that this game isn't going to be as good as I'm hoping and their silence with hardly any gameplay footage is proving this to me. I have it preordered but I'm really close to refunding because of this.

They finally addressed us on their discord saying on the topic of 3v3wBots, quote "we realize that the change was not what the competitive players wanted. We hope everyone will enjoy 6v6 and would like to thank you for your patience on this as we work on finalizing the game for release." So, it looks like we made enough of an impact to get a change! Score one for the gamer community.

I'm sorry but this is NOT what was advertised. The game was originally advertised as a competitive fast-paced PVP game, and the recent changes such as forcing a dual role, mandatory bots in PVP, and role and broom stats have essentially turned the game into a casual experience, which would isolate the more competitive side of the community. Say what you will about the competitive community being whiny and toxic, but they were the ones who actually tried to make a difference in the game, and they were the ones who were ignored. Anyways, the changes that have been made make the game more reliant on upgrading one's stats rather than come up with a cohesive strategy to beat opponents. As well as this, bots are usually unreliable, this can be seen in games such as Rocket League and EA FC. What I mean by this is that the bots won't be able to function as well as actual human players, Ex: Getting stuck on walls, can't pass to another player, glitching out and continuing to move erratically, among others. The goal for this game, in my opinion, is to be a cohesive multiplayer experience, and the addition of bots negates this. What we thought was going to be a game where one could team up with their friends, come up with strategies and, according to the trailer "dream of winning the House Cup and World Cup" have now been thrown out the window in favor of a "casual family friendly experience with family and friends." While it looks like there will be a player base, judging by the comments here, it will be small, and will not reach the heights of sports games like Rocket League, EA FC, Madden and others.

This game is being developed by a developer studio named "Unbroken Studios", they only have one other game under their belt called "Fractured Lands" in 2018. Fractured Lands was abandoned in Early Access, never reaching 1.0. It was pulled from the steam store after people had already paid for it. Not a great track record.

Playtesters have dedicated hundreds of hours individually to these tests and are now unhappy. The recent playtest has caused a divide in the community that didn’t exist before, with almost no one satisfied with the bot situation. But the bigger issue is that the developers and WB Games have gone silent. After receiving the latest feedback, they’ve ignored the community that has supported them from the start. You can’t compare a game which is easily f2p with games like Legacy which require players to pay to be able to play or Mystery, which has had eight years to grow. How could you promise the community for over a year that you were releasing a Fast Paced **Competitive** Multiplayer experience based on the wonderful sport we all know and love that is Quidditch. You then blindside the community within weeks of game release with *Bots* and Family-Fun Bull Crap. You've destroyed what was once an amazing game. This trailer marks how you aren't blind to what you've done but you simply don't care. You just want to drain people of their hard earned money for a product that is a pure cash grab. I Genuinely hope that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions flops harder then any of WB's other recent successes such as Suicide Squad or Multiversus. It really seems like this company has a true vision for what the customer wants. The review bombing is imminent. The sales will be low. Your community will have a voice and you're not going to like it. It's clear you already don't as you have attempted to silence us time and again. Postpone Release. Bring back October version. Give us a good game. The game we want.... or inevitably suffer the consequence.

I hope you enjoy the game, but know it's not the game it could be. I'm sure the single player experience will be fine, but when you choose to do any PvP, know that it will have at least 3 bots per team. And I hope you aren't wanting to focus on a specific role, as you will be playing chaser as a dual role with the other three. It can be fun, just not as fun as it would be without bots.

@armadillo152 there's an NDA so we can't talk about play tests, and they've not shown much publicly about the campaign, but I believe they have shown 3 non pvp modes. You shouldn't be bothered that much, at least depending on how much you like the chaser role. And swapping rules around mid game. (The next most disliked feature, only doable with bots, but PvE is expected to have bots.)

I am looking forward to flying on broomsticks, and playing with other PEOPLE. The addition of bots feels really bad, the forced dual role doesnt feel good either (chaser with any of the other 3 roles). And the slap in the face to your community... ps1 Hagrid skin, he doesnt even plan on playing anymore due to the bots. As well as the seekers not even getting gameplay footage in here. It's like you dont really want the exciting race for the snitch anymore either...

The main reason for the dislikes is the existing community trying to make the game better has been largely ignored (not completely as there's a reference to ps1 Hagrid). We don't want bots in pvp, and they blind sided us with that, and haven't responded about the bots at all. (Pvp is 3 players and 3 bots vs 3 players and 3 bots)

@@yipperdeyip sorry but it really doesn’t have a long term chance at all, you can’t even compare it to Rocket League since it was a very unique idea and a 1 of a kind idea yet there has already been a quidditch game and that game didn’t even last long at all and you have to remember the people that are going to be interested and 90% or more are going to be kids which constantly will forget games and move on to more interesting stuff like Sea of Thieves since it has a broad range of things to do compared to the consistent repeating that you’ll get from this Quidditch game so people will get bored quite quickly especially when tons of gamers complain about repetitive things in games already yet this game is nothing but rinse and repeat. So sorry but it has an extremely small chance of survival especially compared to Hogwarts Legacy where everyone wanted it in that game so you won’t even have 1/10th the players Hogwarts Legacy had.

@@yipperdeyip I don't know why their marketing strategy has been what it is, but they have shown a roadmap for this game to the end of the year, and their plan is to have actual 6v6 PvP (no bots) before the end of the year.

However, we were surprised and disappointed to learn that the final product seems to focus more on a casual, family-oriented experience, which doesn't align with the expectations that were set.
