This is an amazing performance. Forgot how great this song is. And I’ve never been a big Harry Styles fan however I am definitely interested in hearing more of his solo stuff. His covers I’ve seen are great. And this band.... insane. For those who are a little too young to remember this original video from Peter Gabriel, check it out. May not seem like much nowadays but back when the video released it was mind blowing. He always had very unique videos. Back when MTV still had videos.

I've been waiting for this reaction!!! The Howard Stern interview is an hour and a half and it is one of Harry's best interviews tbh. "Its Sarah's band, I'm just the front man." Valentines Day we almost lost the most kind and amazingly talented person, I'm just glad he is safe now.

Chesney Trull A number of seemingly really young fans were angry at Howard Stern, particularly for the therapy questions/comments. They’ve just never heard of Howard Stern before. Poor thangs.

@@Scorpiopower7 nah they were rightfully angry that he insisted Harry would want to fu*k his therapist sooner rather than later, had daddy issues because his parents are divorced and his stepfather died and kept prodding him about who he wants to bang next... when Harry has been preaching that he doesn't objectify women ever since he was in the spotlight with 1D. Being controversial just for the sake of it doesn't make good journalism or content in general. The actual questions about music and his career were good and the performances were great. Expected this backwards behaviour of Howard Stern. Didn't make it less problematic in my eyes. Overall the good bits made it worth watching the whole thing. I'm 28 if that is of interest.

Anni Mö Yeah, but anyone who’s familiar with Howard, knows that’s the sort of thing he goes for. He’s obsessed with therapy and sex. He asks everyone he can about their therapist and wants to simultaneously be everyone’s therapist when he would obviously make a terrible one. Harry knows Howard and his formula. I don’t think he was shocked by any of it. If he can handle Simon Cowell, he can handle neurotic ol’ Howard.

@@Scorpiopower7 well as I said - it was expected but that doesn't make it any more tolerable. The fandom was aware of that before Harry went on and he handled it very well as he always does. But it made a lot of people uncomfortable and that is a valid response to this behaviour and doesn't make them 'poor thangs'. I certainly didn't enjoy these questions but as I said can appreciate the interview overall which doesn't mean I have to dismiss my anger or discomfort about some parts of it or Howard Sterns personality.

I have a lot of respect for therapists and especially people seeking them out, and that comment about how he's going to end up fucking his therapist anyway, to his face, made me furious

I went to a Peter Gabriel concert a long time ago. My boyfriend of that time invited me so it was concert and late dinner (nice, uh). The concert was so complex and amazing that we were tripping out. When he sang In Your Eyes we both had tears about to fall down (gotta love a man who’s not scared to show his emotions) and he closed up with Sledgehammer. Across the concert hall there was a Hard Rock Cafe so we went there. We were both ordering when Gabriel entered and sat close to us (we started to fangirl, lol). He turned around and saw us gawking openly so he put his finger in his smiley face, grabbed a chair and said “I recall seeing you at the concert” (my ex bought really good tickets). So we chat a little bit and asked us which song each loved the most. I said “I Grieve” and he was a bit surprised but said “interesting choice”. He signed for each of us a personalized autograph and said “time to eat, get a bit wasted and go to sleep. I’m glad you enjoyed the concert as much as I did”. Such a cool guy...

Sledgehammer is a monster of a song. First, to get Peter Gabriel vibe. That guy is a legend and his album So is one of my top 10 albums ever. I thought no one could be in his level, maybe Pink Floyd. In Your Eyes, Salisbury Hill, the music of the movie “The Last Temptation of Christ” (what a weird,eccentric and magnificent movie), this song called I Grieve....amazing. I saw him live and it wowed me. That was one line of thought in my head. Other line is to see Harry in a 2010 video (during the X Factor) saying that the only played the kazoo (meaning no musical training but that band White Eskimo) and slowly learning like a sponge the guitar (their guitarist and Niall helped) and production, etc. Literally like a sponge. That’s why he was able to find himself a fantastic band that loves him to death. I’m pretty sure he’s learning now how to elaborate music sheets and compose. The guy is TALENTED AND SMART. I think, besides his very obvious good looks 😋 and rich raspy high baritone voice, that he’ll become more and more amazing. His rendition of Sledgehammer was great and I hope he’ll include it in a live performance. Progressive Rock -- ex-frontman of Genesis; who would have thought...
