There are really a lot of idiots out there always on the lookout to dig at flaws. Arsenal was sensational good at the Ethiad even without the likes of Martin Odagaard and Mikel Merino. The absence of such ceative players in midfield has certainly reduced their threat in the final third. Despite this deficiency in midfield, we were still able to come from behind after conceding the Erling Haarland opener. If not for the sending off of Leandro Trossard, we should have collected all 3 points at the Ethiad. This per se indicated that we existingly do possess a very competent squad to challenge Manchester City for the EPL title. Mikel Arteta and Edu have decided to trim the senior squad this summer by offloading their London Colney prodigies in the likes of Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Simth Rowe. Mikel has always wanted 22 senior players in their squad to attain the idealism of obtaining at least 2 top players in every position. This squad revamp process, in my opinion, is not completed. We still lack numbers and depth in midfield and at the same time do have a surplus in requirement in Kieran Tierney in the left back position. In my humble opinion, we should at least bring in 2 more players and offload Kieran Tierney.
