looking back at the action of trossard, it can be argued that he was in the action of challenging for the ball when the whistle was blown. Some say that you can tell he heard the whistle because he tried to stop the follow through, But in that case it means he was attempting stop himself from performing an automated action, which means it wasnt deliberate. Personally I believe he tried to stop the follow through in order to avoid kicking his opponent. But either way there wasn't enough time between the whistle and his kicking of the ball to be sure that it was deliberate

They should consider the context of a game before acting. Oliver couldn’t wait to get the 2nd yellow out. The impact of going to 10 players is too big for yellows to be thrown around without proper consideration. Look at the first half at sp*rs - yellow cards given for non yellow card offences on both sides. The referees should have a post match press conference to explain their perspective/performance.

Troussard was already on a YC when he kicked the ball after being called for a flagrant foul on Silva which is a YC and therefore a RC.
