One of Snape's memories show Lily telling baby Harry to be safe, be strong. That occurred before Voldemort killed Lily. Snape was not in the house until after Lily was killed and Voldemort was gone. Only Lily and Harry should have had that memory, but not Snape.

Till then they were good friends and used to spend quite some time together as he used to tell her all about Hogwarts and the magic world... We were talking about their childhood here...

Ok got to say it. I know Snape had it rough growing up but he was a creep. Like you couldn't get over a women who he was never going out with and hadn't talked too for like, what 20 years or something? Then after the son of a guy who bullied him joined the school, while he might have been watching over him, he was also a constant bully too him all because of stuff his father did, stuff that Harry would never do like bullying the quite kid. Dude's obsession with Lilly was creepy and his treatment of Harry was inexcusable for both an adult and a teacher.
