The cornerstone used by the builders

Buildings around our town often are built using second hand materials. This stone came out of the old 'cabine' in the garden, and I very much doubt that was where it was originally used. It has a date on it, which may or may not be significant.

There are people that could hours researching the building and every corner stone of that old building. I saw 1748 marked a period of the 7 war. Some called it the real First World War?

One of the problems with a building like this in an area like this is that stone gets used time and time again. How that stone has a rebate cut into it, it would seem that the date was scratched into the side of a window or shutter frame. I will have to read the 'Seven Year's War', unfortunately, this area was affected by various wars from all times. It is reflected in a lot of the architecture.
