I know a college in Ontario that imported more than 30,000 Indian "students" last year. We are talking about one college in one year. The situation is totally out-of-control. It is an invasion!
@PersistentPureheartКүн бұрын
I remember. There was an exposé done on it by The Fifth Estate. That college recruited 30,000 students but had the capacity to seat only a few hundreds. There are agencies here in Canada that serve as liaisons for their counterparts in Punjab, India. It's a big nexus. They sell dreams of a better life in Canada to gullible youth and swindle them of their parents' lifelong savings.

Especially when every major city in Canada has over 2000 homeless or more, Systems funded by hard working tax payers are being abused left, right and center, Health and education are collapsing, Many corporations are only hiring foreigners, while their greedy inflation has gotten completely out of control. Some immigrants have indeed taken this country for granted. They’ve exploited and violated the law, leading to a rise in hostility toward immigrants in general. The reality is that certain individuals from particular regions may struggle to adapt to Western culture; they may resist communicating in the local language, and in some cases, exhibit violent, racist, or inconsiderate behaviors. But for many of us, being here is about genuine appreciation-we contribute because we love this country: the people, culture, weather, nature, and the overall way of life. This, I believe, is the only way to truly belong here. For those who do not respect the place or come with harmful intentions, perhaps this isn’t the right place for them.

I believe that excessive immigration flows have contributed to this situation. Additionally, some Indians haven't adapted to Canadian culture; instead, they have brought their own cultural practices to Canada, such as openly celebrating religious festivals in the streets, displaying freedom in ways that some Canadians might find intrusive, and occasionally engaging in verbal or physical confrontations in public spaces. This has caused some discomfort among locals. As Indians, we may also feel uneasy if large groups of Nepalis, Pakistanis, or Bangladeshis brought similar behavior to the streets of India-it’s quite ironic. I saw a slogan at a recent student protest in Brampton that read, 'Nobody owns stolen land.' It's worth noting that Canada endures eight months of cold and only four months of summer, and it was the early European immigrants who built this country and developed it into what it is today. We, as newer immigrants, are benefiting from their efforts and the foundation laid by their descendants. In contrast, what have we or our ancestors contributed to our own countries?

It's not even the study permit or work permit people who came here for an actual purpose that bothers me, its the people who exploited this opportunity as a gateway to "easy" lifestyle which then ended up backlashing on the whole country. Even as a Canadian highschool graduate, I can't even find a job and I've been applying for a year now. Living costs is insane now, you can only spend money for food and house necessity. There is no Canadian lifestyle now. Not only that, some of these people really think it's fine to behave however they want here in the name of freedom of will, NO, this is Canada, we NEED discipline and order. There was once a balance of all cultures here, now one stands out more than the other and that being in a negative way. Crime rates are so high rn, how on earth can we go to sleep thinking our car or house isn't going to be/get robbed? These people are bringing their country problems to ours now, as if we have a proper solution or as if we already didn't have things going on here. Now half of these genuine peoples futures are at risk cuz of many people and politicians carelessness. What was once a calm and peaceful country to my eyes is now a land full of clueless and chaotic people. Logically speaking, this is going to take yearssss to be "fixed", these immigrants are trying to get permanent residency and god knows how that's going to result. This is going to affect a lot of young Canadians future as well. I can't believe I'm having a tough time trying to wrap my head around this, literally have to ignore this and live like a stone.

We always have a hard time finding workers. This is where immigrants come in. Second: The birth rate has gone down. That means when someone retires, there is no one to replace them. This is where immigration comes in. Three: If we let too many immigrants in at once, it overwhelms the country. Not enough housing, not enough doctors, it puts a strain on everything, and everyone. A part of the problem is immigrants. Especially NRI Indians especially from gulf who could not buy homes in Gulf (because of rules there) got PRs in Canada and came in with 20 years of savings in foreign cash. Realtors in Canada portrayed Canada as a paradise and sold homes at very high prices. They not only raised prices for normal Canadians, they put themselves in trouble. Reality is there are no business investments in Canada and market is small. There are major players in all sectors. Now these NRIs had to work 2 to 3 jobs to pay mortgage and keep the home. From outside they looked rich, then all other Indians started buying properties otherwise they would not have anything to show off. In the process Canadian banks made money because people were taking out loans for double the amount of what these homes were worth few years ago. But investment in homes is an expense. No jobs are created with this investment. So now they realised the whole country has become poor, rents have increased, minimum wages increased so some businesses can't hire at that cost, grocery prices increased, standard of living has fallen. So my humble requests to new comers don't fall for marketing traps in Canada. Take things slow. Here nobody really cares if you have a big house, small house, Tesla ya Dodge, you do you. But if you do stupid things, you will make the whole country poor. 😂😂😂

Justin Trudeau's government, along with Jagmeet Singh, has driven Canada into a precarious situation, burdening the country with a massive foreign debt. While Canadians, including international students, work tirelessly and pay taxes, much of this revenue is diverted to servicing the interest on foreign debt rather than being invested in critical infrastructure or affordable housing. The government's recent policies-such as restricting the number of international students, damaging relations with key partners like India, and the potential implications of a Trump victory-suggest that Canada could soon face an economic downturn. These decisions, rather than fostering economic growth, seem to undermine the country's long-term financial stability, placing more strain on Canadian citizens and the economy as a whole. 🇮🇳

Money... International students pay 5-6x tuition fees compared to home students, so it's a big business boom for the Educational institutions and Unis... many Unis and colleges in Canada have reduced eligibility criteria for International students, some have even done away with the compulsory English IELTS exam just to admit more n more Int students... they don't care about Canadians, nor about the future of those poorly skilled or unskilled students, who can't even pass a basic IELTS exam , how will they complete a degree...or build their future in an English speaking country...if these students fail, then it's a 6 months extension , 6 months more tuition fees, housing n income for the Institutions... 2) lots n lots of marketing glorifying the perfect life in Canada and Canadian dreams, rich , comfortable, high living standards etc have been done...its still into practice... lots of funding goes to agencies who bring in International students... where everything is glorified , a dream like picture is drawn.. full of lies n half truth not possible to understand unless awareness is spread or you have a real hard reality check... 3) same with Int workers... cheap labour... for an Indian or immigrant , that amount is 8x more than what he would earn in his home country...for the company it's half the wage compared to a Canadian employee... So a corrupt greedy Tredeau government and his corrupt comrades have ruined it all for everyone... don't worry they don't love Indian, just Indian money and labour ... thats it ... under Tredeau regime, bunch of community colleges and other institutions were given licenses to run their courses, filled with International students... but those colleges were money making tools only...with 0 future for anyone... scam

Here are some things I think:- 1) Not enough housing & resources prepared for the population influx. 2) No even distribution of immigrants and students in all of Canada. Almost every friend that I have who went from Panjab to Canada to study is either in the states of British Columbia or Ontario or Quebec. Not an even distribution of students across all of Canada. 3) Not limiting the amount of students accepted by certain colleges or not evenly distributing the intake. Everyone wants to have a job closer to their study place. So by having more immigration concentration around specific cities/towns, it put a big strain on the resources there. 4) Improper planning.
