Just wanna to say this: Be happy everyone, last breath is not cancelled anymore, the game will be most likely being remade. With better sprites, attacks and even there may be a chapter 2.

@@opbattleaxe8744 ...that's quite the reaction. Um, anyway. Zerjox announced all the way back in August 2020 that chapter 2 was cancelled, and that chapter 1 (which has been finished and released for around 1 or 2 months at the time iirc) now made up the whole game. (Therefore, it was finished.) Then around the start of summer this year he announced that Chapter 2 was now happening again and that Chapter 1 would also be remade (Also removing phase 2 of the sans fight because it didn't make much sense, so what is known now as phase 3 will become phase 2.)

By now, Sans, the character, doesn't exist. You killed him already. But Sans, the force, is pushing back with all its power. ...It wouldn't surprise me if that was an attempt to destroy the player's DETERMINATION- not just metaphorically, but literally rid Frisk of the in-game power of DETERMINATION and prevent them from reloading their save. Making the 3rd phase all Sans/Gaster with no turns for the player was genius. The way the action syncs with the music is AMAZING. Whoever made this did damn good work. I also love the touch at the end. Sans doesn't even flinch the second time you hit him. Honestly, he's probably already dead. Yet he stays standing for a few extra seconds, just to make you wonder if the fight is over. If they fixed up the grammar a little bit, this'd be one of the best fangames out there

Should be "Am I" "I thought you know better than this" would be "knew better" "You have played with much then you ever think" the wrong "then" was used and "you ever think" isnt correct here. It should be "You have played with much more than you'd ever thought". Which is still an awkward sentence, but easier to understand. This was within the first 4 minutes of dialogue

in hindsight, the only thing holding back the difficulty on this fight is how generous the KR is. normally, just a slight hit from a bone and it would begin withering your health down a fourth of the max health. but im extremely impressed how they were able to make the fight difficult, even with the setback of the KR. amazing and unique attacks, really.

My theory is he gets possessed in phase 3 but then gaster let’s him go after the final attack. I’m also theorizing that the second slash was gaster sending sans to the afterlife. Because even though the player defeated sans they didn’t get the buttons back. After gaster does the Wingdings attack you can see him revert back to the classic version of the sprite without the pupils and then the fight is over after the last 2 attacks. Gaster most likely knows that sans wouldn’t have enough strength by then and decides sans should go to rest.

God I love this fangame so much. The presentation alone is completely phenomenal- like all the little sprite touch ups? And the UI makeover to the action tabs and dialog boxes? Or the way Sans gets a bottom screen glow like Asgore and Asriel do for their fights, but his is blue? Or how it turns to white when Gaster attacks with him?? Not to mention the way the music interacts with the fight (gosh that music is so good) honestly this fangame is more polished than Undertale itself was (I get its one fight and a few cutscenes compared to a whole game but seriously) they redid ALL of the character sprites, and I think they even refined the Throne Room and Judgement Hall, too, but I'm not as certain. Honestly, the only thing that stands out as being a blemish to the game's presentation is it's dialog. My guess is that English is not the author's native tongue, but even so the text is dope. Like, I would be willing to rewrite some of the janky lines myself with no credit just because it annoys me that such a small part of an otherwise perfect game could be so obviously improved. Aside from that, though? What a phenomenal peice of work! So many little details that scream about the author's dedication, gosh it's great

I love how the themes are just a medley of a bunch of the other's themes but it has it's own unique twist as well like you can hear the main melody but you can also hear things like a little bit of bonetrousle and a bit of death by glamour (or the core theme the two songs are very similar in terms of that specific part I'm talking about) so it's like while you're fighting him all the other monsters are resonating through him during the fight and that is something I find quite cool to think about.

Now dont get me wrong, phase 3 looks hard af, but i wish there were more gaster attacks, he seemed to be a big part of this fight for him to come in at the end and fling some wingdings at you. Even if it was just a 1v1 with him after sans died i think it could have been better

It might be a programming glitch, since Sans' wound is also kinda detached from his body. Something's wrong with the colour red probably lol

it's the same effect of the bones that destroy the action selections, they appear to be the same shade of red and they might've programed it so any object with that color has a seizure
