Regulus Black and Arabella Figg come to my mind. Regulus for taking on Voldemorts Horcrux cave on his own and Arabella being a member of the order and for looking out for Harry and protecting him without having any magic at all to protect herself.

To add another way that Dobby showed bravery, is that he went against the expectations of and towards his kind, the House Elves. He spoke for freedom when a lot of his peers wouldn't have dared, and helped begin Hermione's awareness of Elves welfare and her campaign for their improved treatment.

Maybe not heroes but their actions were heroic nonetheless. I'm talking about Andromeda Black and Ted Tonks. How they offered their home to be a safe place for Harry and Hagrid when in what later was called the Battle of the 7 Potters. I mean, the war was rampant and they risked their lives for the cause. No wonders Ninfadora was so brave being so young. Too bad poor Andromeda lost Dora and Ted in that war. Heartbreaking indeed. Edit: also Aberforth Dumbledore. Towards the end and when he was most needed, he helped Dumbledore's army's and also the Trio.

Well if you go by the book version of Snape he got what he deserved and earned. He is was an awful selfish person. People forget he was a death eater by choice and only works for the good guys because he made a deal. Now movie version is a bit better but still, he felt no remorse for his actions till on his death bed and at least for me that's not enough. Everything else he did he did against his personal wishes

Rufus Scrimgeor. He was heavily tortured and then killed, refusing to reveal the whereabouts of Harry Barty Crouch Jr - even villains think they're on the right side. To Death Eaters and to Lord Voldemort he would have been considered a Hero. Fleur Delacourt despite her would be husband being mamed beyond recognition, she's still insisted on marrying him. Arabella Figg - Risking her life to protect Harry, possessing no magic to defend herself.

Fine, I'll admit Snape whas a hero, But no one can deny that he whas a bullying arse hole. I get that harry looked like / reminded him of James, and I get that James whas also a bullying arse, but, that whas no excuse for six years of Snape going, continually, out of his way, to make Harry's (and Neville's now I think of it) life a living hell.

Have a proble with this. because "unsung" means unmentioned to me and this more or less excludes ALL the charcters you will probably come up with. I would think of Reulus Black, who does more or less glossed over in the movies I can agree with Firenze or the Centaus as a group who as a group fought against the Death Eaters in the Deathly Hallows And I would think of the Creevey Brothers - who fought even though they were underaged. And students who stayed and fought. I actually love Snape as a character and he is my favorite, but I do not think his actions are unsung. So for me not the best choice. I also do not agree on Molly, I think Molly is also a very flawed character and gets credit for Bellatrix So not unsung more like unfair XD

Sorry Silas but Molly and Snape are not at all unsung. Both receive a lot of credit for their actions and for Molly many of her characrers faults are very overlooked. Arthur mean while has his faults regularly pointed out and his more heroic aspects left unsung. He is regularly taking up the dangerous position of guarding Harry in the later books that is just glossed over. I would say McGonnagal is much more unsung and Sprout too, she was so ready to make a stand against Voldemort at the school and was down in some of the most dangerous places.

No, that belongs to Snape, the teacher who still abused children regardless of saving Harry. If I were to learn my kid's boggart were one of their professors, I'd have serious questions about the employment standards tbh. Even in a world like that.
