Sounds like some aunt or great aunt they don't like to remember, regardless of which side, a disowned relative who gets kicked out to USA, does crime and does crime in various other countries (quite old if she was mentioned before Dumbledore visitted Voldemort's orphanage, but remember that Dumbledore was still doing quite well at over 100 years)

I’m an Auror from Illvermorny and I would like to tell you that “ The Ginger Witch “ has a Granddaughter named Arabella Gertrude Rimes who is originally from Upstate New York Southern Tier and now lives in West Virginia and is the leader of Magical-Political rebellion in the Central Illvermornia region in the 2020’s and Arabella Gertrude Rimes is basically the Donald J Trump of the Wizard World ! Arabella Gertrude Rimes said her Grand Ma Ma “ The Ginger Witch “ taught her how to be the Ultimate Rebel and to never ever take ‘ NO ‘ for an answer ! The Coastal Illvermornian’s are having a good old time trying to put down the Rimes Rebellion currently ! The Ginger Witch and Arabella Rimes are one thing but I have a bad feeling that a new Dark Magical enemy is on the rise though and will be here before the Wizarding World knows it !

Interesting I always wanted to go to Hogwarts I love the Ravenclaw house. I do qualify as an a magical Empath because of my traits on a psychic level. I don’t think my parents would’ve let me go to the Hogwarts school. And I am an only child after all. I have two separate familiars that are cats. I just treat them like they’re my physical sons. I’m also a devotee of the goddess Hecate/Hekate. Yes I’m a witch not a wizard. Yes my ancestors make contact with me in my dreams. I can even trace that one of my ancestors that was accused of witchcraft through my genealogy and her name is Macy Donahue and she confirm with me in a dream that she was actually a witch who happen to be a devoted Christian and she could read the Bible Word for Word so that was to her benefit to escape persecution. It’s not my only ancestor that is a witch on my father side because most of my ancestors that are witches i’m pretty much on my father side of the family. And then my mom has four separate ancestors that she doesn’t know of Who are also witches. They’re just not aware of it like I am. And even if they found out that they had magic they would suppress it attentionally. One of my other powers is astral travel i’m more powerful in the astral plane then I am in the physical plane. But I use that power for good. Yeah probably be too old for Hogwarts now what that I’m 37 years old. I know I’m not a late bloomer.
