Why use a 10 yr old XC60 rather than a new one to make the comparison? And, having had the misfortune to have once been given an XC60 as a courtesy loan car, I can’t imagine anything so uncomfortable for a long journey. Volvo should make the XC60 much more expensive but then give the buyers some actual suspension rather than the wooden blocks they clearly use as a cheap substitute!

Fantastic review. Thank you Harry. I have done 3,500 miles in mine and have similar feelings - absolutely love everything about the car bar the interface, and delighted Ferrari are going back to a central screen in the 12Cylindri. And also, apparently, proper buttons on the steering wheel from March 2025 (at least for the 12Cylindri initially). As for specifying the car, I managed to come in about £80k cheaper than your test car; avoiding all the exterior carbon fibre (for a practical car, I figured the perfectly decent plastic was fine) and that the "design package" which seems excessively priced (to put it mildly!). Still a big premium over the 707 - but the way it drives, more like a sports car on stilts than an SUV, is very special.

Ferrari are going after the super wealthy with this car which is definitely a good move for them, so probably it’s best to avoid discussing price or value - I’ve only realised this recently and previously fell into the trap of suggesting that for the price of this you could get a supercar, a van and an SUV. I’ve since woken up and realised that the target audience already have a fleet of supercars and range rovers knocking around and that this is just something for those “in between” moments. Personally as a car enthusiast I hate it, and much prefer the FF and GTC4 but through the right lens it’s understandable.

I smiled when Harry said he wants to see what this car is like on a family road trip to the snow as if it was last year’s Hyundai SUV. It really is a car for the one per centers who will pay for the extras and the hand painted badges. I’m yet to see one on the road here in Australia as our current exchange rate pushes the price to astronomical levels. Those steering controls would be a deal breaker as well. It’s interesting to see that in even higher end cars there is now a move away from screen tech, back to good old analogue dials and gauges. Screens are cheap and common, but analogue is now the new luxury for many super cars.

Love this shots of Harry. He leaves his wife or son up the road with the camera, goes down and then up the road again to get the shot

Could have three long wheelbase supercharged Range Rovers for the price of that Ferrari and still have change to pay for a year’s worth of luxury holidays. With a 350D engine you’d also get a good 700 mile range from 35mpg economy

Love Harry, love the trips, love this channel, hate this car, silly money and what a disgrace for the options and fiddly dangerous controls.

Great review and alway love hearing the practicalities of a car, especially size of fuel tank, range and luggage space! Just one point, as someone who lives up in the mountains in Andorra opposite a ski resort. Brand new Michelin Alpins on any car will result in effortless progress on ice and snow, subject to ground clearance of vehicle. Four wheel drive system might help in extreme up hill conditions but 95 percent of snow grip will be because of the tyres.

The radar issues happen all the time in the HGVs I drive. Rain, fog or slush and the radar cruise control stops working.

Very enjoyable video. Excessive electronics are always pain and impossible to master when owning more vehicles. I ignore most of it and listen to the engine.
