I’ve owned the 991 GT3 RS, GT4 and 992 GT3 Touring. Now have the Spyder. The suspension is the best of any of them. The added compliance makes the car so useable, but with no roll or heave. Every video I’ve seen rather concentrates on how bonkers the car is, which is true, but it has the ability to waft as well. Lastly, after you’ve taken the roof off and replaced it a couple of times, it’s a non-issue. It’s easy and quick to change.

Hot take: interior of the Cayman/Boxter > interior of the 911
@curtwebbe63014 ай бұрын
Agreed. The 992 911 interior with the black piano surfaces would be a nightmare to keep clean. As a Cayman owner I think the interior of the car is excellent. Not too many screens. Buttons rule!!

I absolutely love this car Harry, and went to my local dealer to place an order, I have brought 2 Porsche cars in the past, he almost laughed me out of the showroom, shame really, I would have used it also it wouldn’t have been a garage queen, I plumped for the new M2 big difference I know but its quick enough in the real world and the dealer was pleased to see me and there available, Porsche like Rolex will struggle if they keep this up.

Harry, I've noticed in recent times a lack of in cockpit forward views. The view that really puts you in the drivers seat. The sprint up the hill, that right turn you always do, also that s bend all used to be shown from the cockpit. Now all these seem to be external shots. it just isn't the same. Thoughts?

I can't think of a new car that's better than this as a weekend toy in the UK. Only thing it might need is a slightly easier roof. Kudos to Porsche for still making fun cars!
@BobTheBlue4 ай бұрын
£125,000 for this toy is madness. Who can afford it, maybe 0.1% of the people watching this? and more importantly, who the hell would pay £125,000 for that roof!

So, it hasn’t crossed your mind that a car with an order-book oversubscribed by about 5x strongly indicates that You Sir are the mad one for thinking that it’s madness to buy one? Just as well they didn’t price it any cheaper then, because 0.1% of the UK population is about 70,000 people and I understand only about 200 of these will be coming here!

@@untruenorthI’m always scratching my head why people in the UK and p/heads forum moan about car size. I’m a Northerner and live in the US these days. I agree, this is definitely my lottery winnings dream car. I could never afford a high end sports car but I’ve had several sports bikes, everything from 600’s to liter bikes and I’ll always love the rush of a high revving engine. It just sucks that everything is so expensive these days. Back in my younger days, after passing my Series 7 and 63 I treated myself to a brand new Kawasaki ZX6R. It had a 15,000 rpm redline and was only $6800 out the door, all taxes included. Of everything I’ve ever owned that’s the best value for money of anything I ever bought. I rode it for years, put over 30,000 miles on it and still got $4500 for it when I sold it. I only changed the oil and tires and put 1 chain and socket set. Name anything else you can have that much fun with for so little money
@redcarrot11484 ай бұрын
@@keithianlocke It's not a numbered production run but it's still very limited in number and availability. All the allocations so far have been given out to the lucky few buyers that had been on the dealers' waitlists for nearly years. Even many of those have to pay ADM in one form or another. Only allocations left for immediate availability are those from dealers asking 50k USD ADM or more. There are many more people waiting in line than there are future allocations.
