I was born in 1955. This was like going through memory lane. Not harsh at all, peace and tranquility and enough for all. People worked hard, were honest and helpful. The poor did not have much but were satisfied and contented. Then came the media, greed and envy sadly....

No worries. Overpopulation is the mother of all problems today. Earth can support a limited number of life. This is not human fault. As a matter of fact, the human is in the dwarf phase of their era. This is the resolution. There's no solution. No worries.

My husband's first adult job in Pakistan was keeping track of the cotton bales coming in to a cotton ginning factory, Wazir Ali, in Sanghar in 1967, so this is interesting to watch for us. Karachi was the original capital of Pakistan, and still a major city in Pakistan. Islamabad is now the capitol city. We are considering a temporary relocation there in mid 2018 to write and teach and be closer to his elderly mom who is still in Sindh.

I am 75 now, when this film was made it was between the time I did my O'levels and A"levels in Karachi. The green and white of our flag represented the muslims and non-muslim populations in the country. My classmates were Christians, Jews, Budhists, Parsi and Hindu. And of course, Muslim. We all got along very well, made some friendships that continue to the present day. This film reminds me of the countryside I passed travelling by train to holiday with my grandmother and numerous first cousins at her place in lahore. Pakistan at partition, we have nothing and started from scratch. We have come a long way since then, with many many ups and downs. But we are a resilient nation. Many thanks for sharing.

This video shows west Pakistan economy was far batter then east Pakistan. Why east Pakistan politician leaders & Mujibur said west Pakistan taking money from east Pakistan . Become split independent from Pakistan by indian Indira. Now no democracy no judicial no freedom of speech abduction. Con not vote . No 2corrupt country in the world. India Pakistan Bangladesh Burma they all like same. People are living 3 dollars a day. Their elite enjoy every things. They r politicians fail. Indian Pakistani’s Bangladesh’s Burma’s goes to western countries to live better life. All this 4 countries people & leaders religious fundamentalist like Modi. I think they r stupid bagger’s criminals Don’t know how to run the country.

I am from Pakistan, born in mid 70s, I saw and lived the better life in 80s and 90s in my teenage and after that, Those eras of 80s and 90s were best to me though we were a poor family but that time was much peace than today, much time to meet friends and relatives, no social media, not much channels, only a single TV Channel of Pakistan ( Pakistan Televison) owned by the government. I miss those simple days, we were rich with empty pockets. I think 60s was much better than my teenage eras and today. You cant be happy with money, peace grows inside you with happiness and calmness. Best wishes for everyone who is reading this. May Allah Almighty bless us and this world with peace and happiness. Looking at this video I realized how far Pakistan has gone in development compared then but we don't have east Pakistan which is Bangladesh now a different country. Hats off to those builders and laborers who laid down the foundation of this country while carrying cement over their bare shoulders over long distances and heights. Because of their sweat and blood we are living now in a comfortable environment. Salam to each of them. They were our ancestors. Thanks for the camera work in such old times. Now I have seen this video again. I have come to the conclusion that whether you are indian or Pakistani national or Bangladeshi national. Common people have difficult life. No difference between us. Poor and powerless people have no say in government. We earn with difficulty and we survive with difficulty. Only the people who are in power they enjoy. Not people like us who are middle class.
