Time will tell how the CORE lower 4-Link bracket bolts hold up. A design improvement would be to drill larger pass thru holes and weld in bolt sleeves to prevent the uni-rail from compressing. Over time, the bolts will loosen from the flex in the uni-rail. I sleeved my XJ front suspension mounting points and also the steering box bolt holes when I plated the uni-rails front to back and it's been solid for over 15yrs.

Props for using a crescent wrench! In all the years my dad was a service manager and even in retired life, he had multiple size crescent wrenches in his toolbox, and of course no power ratchets or anything. I love the channel and the whole family. Many Blessings!

Gotta remember the xj was designed in 1984. They had 120 horsepower and 27 inch tires. They grew greatly in the 90s and the brakes never caught up. Then add massive tires it's rough. The WJ fixed a bunch of the 90s jeeps short comings.

These things were tiny grocery getters. The Dana 30 is like the weakest of them all. That really should have been upgraded to a 44 from the start. He now has a ton of money and work into a very weak front end. But hey at least he’s having fun that’s really all that matters in the end!

On the WJ knuckle swap, the XJ/WJ upper ball joints are the same part number, but on the lowers you should use WJ ball joints because the taper is different.

Crazy coincidence. I am in the middle of doing the same WJ swap on my YJ right now. The bottom ball joint is the important one to change, since the WJ ball joint is a slightly different taper on the lower. The top is fine to leave. The bent C is a little concerning however!

I love XJ's. The first vehicle i bought was a white 92 xj sport. I gave myself and dozens of other people stories that they probably tell people to this day. I had 3 XJ's in total. The 2nd one i kinda hit a telephone pole at 55 mph and flipped and rolled at least once. They are tough, light, and in my opinion one of if not the best vehicle ever made. In all fairness the 2nd probably saved my life.

Paul don’t know if you read comments,, but your steel billet cam vs iron gear is not compatible! As far as I know there only three sizes of distributor shafts. .5 , .491 , .427. Small cap Tbi distributor is .427 . Crower number 76002 is a .427 bronze gear.. But I would run a melonized gear . You can get them in .427 diameter anywhere , like summit .
