Too true. All that safety gear has made cars much heavier, less fuel efficient, much harder to maintain and repair and much more expensive. Sounds awful, but when you see a wreck like that and know that everyone walked away you know it was all worth it. You can't put a price on that.

@@gsettlemyre I still think about an accident I came upon soon after it happened where the doors were open with the driver laid across the back seat. Turns out a wife was following her husband in another vehicle and when she didn't arrive behind him he went back to find her dead in this accident. Someone driving too fast crossed into her lane at a curve. A time seat belts were just coming on the scene in cars and some vehicles people had did not have them or were not incined to cede to the idea of being strapped in. So glad all are OK in this accident.

First, I agree, thanks for letting us know Michelle is OK first. Second, it is not a good thing to find out how well the airbags work, I grew up riding with my Dad in a tow truck back in the late 60's and early 70's, a collision like this would have cost lives. Michelle, I am so glad you are OK, you are a big part of this channel, and just so it's said, I like your laugh. You will find over time that the fear, seeing the car coming at you, will arise at the weirdest times, warn your family that there will be freakouts down the road. They will pass. I enjoy the content your family puts out, it's entertaining and educational. I look forward to more. Mick

God shows us the light, and stands at the door and knocks...either you ask him to come in or you close your heart to him. And that will make God sad. But he will not force his will on anyone. Thank God Michelle's OK. Was in a similar wreck back in October when two teenage girls lost control, jumped the median and hit my 2013 Ram 1500 truck on the same corner as Michelle's SUV. I figured it for a total but their insurance company authorized $20,000 in repairs and a rental truck just like mine. Truck was in the shop for 4-1/2 months and it was a total swap to a whole new frame plus new body parts. Supply chain issues caused the repair to drag on so long. The shop said the insurance company opted to repair because of the value of used cars now. Got my truck back good as new. So it cost them $20,000 for repairs + over $5000 in rental truck fees + $2000 in cash to me for Diminished Value.

She is so caring, eloquent and kind about her description of the other driver's fault in what could have ended in tragedy, Michelle takes the " proverbial high road. I don't personally know any of you but when we watch you fine folks every week and you share everything about not only your lives, your kids, your friends and family, this story just had me ... emotional. Thank The Good Lord everyone was not more seriously injured ! Like so many others have commented, you had the class and dignity to let us all I know, upfront that she was alright, other than a lap "seatbelt kiss ". Always great to see you include your kids in what you do and help them along the way. Cherish every moment and take all the pics and vids you can. Life can change in the blink of an eye! We too had 4 children. We lost our oldest when she was 14 to a very aggressive cancer. Wish we had more vids of her to watch and hear her voice. Been almost 8 years and not a day goes by that doesn't hurt. Cherish those blessings.

That thumbnail sure made my heart drop. So glad you're ok, Michelle. I've been in a few wrecks over the years. No fun. All depends on how the big guy rolls the dice. I've seen people killed in cars that had very little damage, and people walk away from cars that were completely destroyed. I hope everyone in the other vehicle are ok as well.

So happy to see Michelle came through that impressive wreck relatively unscathed. Amazing people in the other vehicle were o.k. too. You have a wonderful family. You are winning! @Fab Rats I'm a fairly new subscriber to your channel and I absolutely love what y'all do! I'm glad no one was hurt in the accident! I think Jayce is really going to enjoy the Dakota 4x4! I owned a 92 ext. cab 2wd with the 5.2L Magnum & absolutely loved it. I worked for a C,J,D,Ram dealership for 16.5 yrs before I became disabled. I had a few bolt-ons to improve the performance & it made a lot of Corvette, Camaro & Mustang owners extremely mad getting beat by a stock looking truck. I love Mopars & that Coronet is going to make someone a very happy person! Thanks for all the hard work y'all put into these videos and for bringing us along for the ride!!

Michelle, I'm glad that you are all right. I'm with you on seat belts, sister! When I was 16 years old, back in the fall of 1966, I got to watch one of my buddies break the windshield of the car I was driving with his head, because he didn't have his seatbelt on. I had a nasty purple stripe across my hips for a while, but that's all. My friend, also, had a complete recovery, as did the mom and daughter in the other car. I have =never= in all the years since then, driven a car with anyone in it who didn't have all the belts available properly fastened. Bless you, and all yours! ❤️
