Game 1 felt a little like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I am confused what Elazer was doing for a few minutes - he was at something like 180 supply and his army was way stronger than Harstems. A few minutes later Elazer was in more or less the same spot. Same supply, same army. But Harstem had catched up. I always love to see the Captain win. Thank you for casting!

yeah it's weird because we see all the numbers but Elazer musn't have realised how powerful his position was. And forcing a bane/ravager army up a choke can be a recipe for disaster, but continuing to commit after catching those early HT woulda given him some massive opportunities

@@PiGCasts As best I can tell (and this is my noob opinion), Elazer chucked all those Banelings for absolutely nothing after smashing Harstem's army (where you said he was done for), then did another attack which he didn't micro well which only managed to kill the mineral line (but none/only a few of Harstem's high-tech units), and after that he basically just kept moving around without committing to any attack but also without teching up or trying to take over the map. He also had that awful fight at his 12 o'clock that really set him up for the throw. I think he either didn't realize how much bigger his army was, or he felt like he couldn't get a good enough fight due to those aforementioned engagements where he traded really badly.

Seemed like elazer was trying to lose. Staying on really low drone counts every game and not being aggressive. Not pushing large unit advantage when he was down in eco all game and behind in tech.
