Challenge idea 1: "No one left behind". Conserve units as much as possible, no intentional sacrifices or dice rolls (as in, "let's send two adepts there, maybe they'll live, maybe not, but they're going to get their money's worth"), and if it turns out you produced more than 400 supply worth of units, lose the next match. Using that approach, achieve 1.5:1 win/loss ratio over more than 10 matches, or get a smurf account to GM only using this tactic. Challenge idea 2: no scouting. Observers are only allowed to watch over units and own bases with approaches directly next to them. No sending units just to see what your opponent is doing. Challenge idea 3: "The Mass Switcheroo". The general rule: choose any combat unit and try to win using any number of them, but only them. You are allowed to make up to 5 gateway units above the rule (but that's just 5 across the entire match, so no remaking), and you can have up to 5 observers at any time (meaning, those can be remade). Every match, choose a different unit. You are not allowed to mass the same unit again until you run out of units. Using that approach, smurf to GM.

I think the problem is that this was a popular trick about 8 years ago. We are all trained to check around before writing it down as afk. A tip maybe to take different expands, the corners are too obvious.

But i don't think that could work, if you're going to scout anyway (and towards the corners, which you say are too obvious), then any other expand would be scouted even sooner, wouldn't it?

@@irrelevant_noob not really. Depending on the map, the opps 4th is a great spot. All im saying is that when you see an afk base, the corners are the first place to check. So probably best to check the pathing from t he main tot he corners and take the base least likely to be scouted.

I tried this and lost a few games but ended up winning vs a protoss. Was glorious. He cannon rushed me but made like 6/7 cannons leaving him too far behind, in the meantime I had 2 bases up and got DT's out. HAHA.

why don't you start your gasses earlier? you don't lose mining time since you're toss, and it doesn't delay your production that requires only minerals (i.e. core, pylons, probes) since it's only 75 minerals. Had you had gasses earlier, you would have had stalkers earlier too.

When wings of liberty came out many years ago, Terrans had this cheese strat that involved killing all your scvs and loading the rest into the command center, then floating it away into the corner of the map, while copy pasting a fake error message at the start of the map. The game was new so people didn't really understand how everything worked so when they went to the enemy base and saw it empty, and couldn't find a base anywhere on the map, they'd just leave, giving you the win.
