It’s a question of data integrity not whether or not he would have gg’d and was nice. The dataset is whether people gg to the average cheesey opponent not whether they gg if they know they’ll be on KZbin. It shouldn’t be counted for the same reason Harstem doesn’t count his own gg’s even if we think he would always gg!

Revealing your bases by means of allying with your opponent and providing vision to your bases was indeed a feature in Starcraft Brood war, it was considered mannerable and gave new players perspective as to how far behind they may have fallen during the game.

I love the cheesiest man alive serie, It normalize those strategies which had been and still are detrimented. I sometimes don't GG not because I despise what the opponent has done, but because I am angry with myself not being able to stop it and it is so stressful. In the end, I respect the strategy of my opponent which is a valid one in my opinion, because if the game is allowing it to be done, well it's an integrate part of it.

For the backdoor strategy, it is best to mine the second line to the further wall. The line captain mined will actually be seen by the opponent, and the furthest line cannot pass unit.

When I played brood war everybody afraid zerlings. Pool 4,6,8,9,10 strategies with gas or not... But In SC2 the rush race is protos :) Zergs are not, they need hatchery near enemy base to do something...

on turtle terran: while i do believe that at some point in the game terran is the strongest race at turtleing: protoss is prolly the best early turtle race. there is just no chance to kill a protoss with a shield batterie and overcharge. sure, at some point terran defence gets stronger, BUT it takes longer to get there. just kill 'em faster. "dont blame the player, blame the game." ;p

I always here people talk about good and bad maps for race xy. But I am not good enough to understand why a certain map favores a certain race besides having great tank spots.

Wide open = good for zerg. Small chokes = good for protoss. Many ledges, high-grounds, dead-zones = good for terran

To explain a bit more in depth. Protoss armies are relatively small, with long ranged expensive units, so they perform well in areas where the other team can’t bring their entire army to bear at once. Zerg are the opposite, lots of relatively cheap, fast units that prefer wide open spaces, as the most important thing for Zerg is being able to close into the enemy, which means concaves, and those need a lot of space. Terran are in the middle, being cost effective, though less durable than Protoss, and with lower numbers than Zerg while being entirely ranged, and their units can shoot slightly further from higher elevation as long as they have vision. (This is why you see orbital scans being used with siege tanks, the range of a siege tank on a cliff is actually further than it can naturally see.) They favour ramps and cliffs as anything at the bottom of a ramp cannot see up the ramp to shoot. This means any map with lots of ramps or cliffs allows them to shoot down without the risk of being engaged in melee. It’s why you always see the first barracks built at the top of the ramp, as the first siege tank can see down, but nobody can see up to shoot it back.

You have to count it, because you have exactly 0 bits information how the gg behavior would have been if this person didn’t guess it was you. You simple cannot count alternative histories until the Time Machine to travel to the alternative history is invented.

If the gg counter is meant to measure some mental state “wether or not a person will gg given that the person is uninfluenced and fully making the decision autonomously” then indeed you cannot count it, but I feel that if you think you are being published and you gg yes or no you should beheld accountable as someone who ggs yes or no, because that to the best of our knowledge is what you will do/did. Otherwise we create a precedent that whoever knows that he is playing Harstem can have an excuse to not gg, because it cannot be counted anyways.
