It's blurry because the camera focuses on the light for a second sometimes, I put all the colors in, if you want to call editing/producing tampered then feel free.

Thanks, those effects were part of a 15 day trial for some rather expensive filers & transitions. I liked using them but can't justify $399 for a plug-in for a $200 program. Yes I did use the effect for 30-40 seconds on the I-95 NH video :) Apparently not everyone likes these effects, which is OK but I like them and wanted to do something a little different.

I would have figured late 80's on that ramp so I wasn't too far off, I'd go through there every now and then when it was being constructed. Cool tidbit on the abandon freeway, thanks.

A couple of things, Jim: The flyover ramp from I-84/US 6 East to I-91 North in Hartford opened in the fall of 1990. Just south of that is Exit 29A, a.k.a. the Whitehead-Conlon Highway. That was to be the beginning of I-484, which would've tunneled under Bushnell Park towards I-84. As for your comments about the Sisson Avenue ramps from I-84? Correct. It's one of Hartford's many abandoned roadways. Lastly, that construction is indeed still going on today (9/1) on I-84/US 6. :(

Those dead-end spurs off of the Sisson Ave. ramps were to be the beginning of an expressway route 189 that was to run eventually all the way to route 57 in Mass. A little piece of it was built in East Granby where it intersects route 187 that is there today.

I use Final Cut 4 Express for the Mac for my videos. I have to preform some forms of editing for all the videos, the speed changes is part of editing too. The colored glow effects came from a filter.special effects package called FxFactory that I have on a 15 day trial. The filter set is really cool but VERY expensive.

You stood by Exit 62. A few exits more east of there is the "Nice and Easy Deli." I went there twice; great New York deli food, among other things. As for the 384... it runs from 84 to somewhere near Storrs/U-Conn, and then the trip to Providence continues with 6 East. I had a job interview in RI, and came home from there in the opposite direction using those roads.

I-384 was going to be I-84 which was planned to go to Providence. I-84 east of there was I-86 but after I-84 was canceleled I-86 became I-84 of course years later I-86 came about again with the old NY17 freeway.

Was this your very first ever overdrive video? Even for it being filmed way back in 2009, it still looks good all these years later. I'm sure you have a clearer and crisper camera today for filming, no doubt. And I love that downtown Hartford view, you get at 2:38 in this video. And the view you get starting at 3:40 in this vid, also is really great.

He made a reasonable patch out of pieces of Hartford. This isn't one of his long-drive-along videos, so I don't really see that it's "tampered" when it's not a natural drive depicted. If he did this on long drives and "segments" I'd dislike it too.
