Negative incidents involving them often receive disproportionate attention, leading to the misconception that they are inherently aggressive. Subbordinate wolves are the leading breeding pairs OFFSPRING, and this behavior is ALSO used to discipline their adult childeren (usually during feeding times). Do your research before clowning on someone about something you know nothing about! My huskies used to tease each other like this all the time. Put a bone, treat or toy in a space and then lay close enough to control the space and wait for their sister to come and try to take it. Meanwhile the sister NOT setting the trap would try to sneak closer and closer to get the prize without the first one catching her. So funny to watch, such intense confrontation and drama with almost no motion or noise; just nibbles, nuzzles and grumbling. I used to love walking over, taking the prize and seeing the looks of betrayal and disdain as I left them both without. Huskies have the best 'WTF?! faces!'

His brother on the other hand, Shepnees is really rambunctious and always initiates playtime. He will try to get his bone but Shadow is so nice to him he just often goes and grabs another one. He does defend his bone when it's a fresh bone though, like with raw meat still on it. When it comes to raw meat, he will not relent at all. @@codyvandal2860 They feel fear and it's a far cry from guilt. @@mcabrathe wolf dog is showing BOTH domination AND affection. And that’s very possible. Wolf dog is only showing dominance because he’s trying to protect his bone. @JakeFresno
@JakeFresno 6 күн бұрын
I didn't see any dominant posturing or anything like that. If the wolf was really trying to dominate the other dog he probably would have stood up. If the husky felt he was being dominated he probably would have moved away or at least stood up. What you witnessed is 2 pack member siblings playing just like they would in the wild. The wolf or the husky doesn't want the bone they want the game. If all they wanted was the bone they would have fought. It was clearly evident that neither dog intimated or being aggressive in any way. For all we know maybe the husky is tougher than the wolf in fact that might be why the wolf was playfully trying to get the bone back. If you actually consider the whole dynamic the husky is the one that's being dominant by controlling the bone.

😂 we didn't take the creature. Wolves started following humans probably to clean up their hunting scraps. Over time they came to trust each other and formed a symbiotic relationship. Humans didn't create any dog breeds they just selected mutated features to breed for.

@O B D ohhh hell no honey I am not submissive and could beat a man's ass in a second....but I won't. Wolves however are different. Sometimes their play looks aggressive to us but to them it isn't. Check out the documentary LIVING WITH WOLVES. They did a great job watching Wolves be Wolves which helps us understand their behaviors more. They are and important part of the ecosystem and shooting them from helicopters because you can isn't reason enough to do it. Farmers complain that Wolves get a cow here and there even though they get paid for all lost cows. So, why kill them? You kill them all and then the deer and elk will eat all the grass the Farmers need for their cows. Sorry passionate about this subject.

@O B D 😆 no thanks .... I don't want to go to jail for kicking your ass at the door. My legs alone could crush you. I mean I can leg press 1100 lbs (yes 1100) and put it up 10 times. I could stop your heart with one blow. But I don't fight ever and Wolves are so much more important than any of that and more interesting as well. Sorry love.

Specifically they are the descendants of a wolf species that is extinct nowadays, they are technically still wolves, just domestic. It's why they can reproduce with other wolves. It's why they are not only different due to species, but domestication gave them rounder/softer features, bigger eyes, smaller heads, jaws, smaller teeth, thinner shoulders, stuffy legs, and a more human like behavior such as: more barking less howling, panting to show happiness, understanding a human pointing out, going after things we throw, being able to read our faces and follow our eyes, having a more cereal based diet and still being carnivores. They adapted to our omnivorous diet full of bread, flour, rice, certain legumes and fruits.

In wolf packs, there is always the dominant leader. They will make sure to let you know through aggression and aggressive communication to let the rest understand that clearly so no one gets to their level. That’s why they’re wolves for a reason.
