you didn't solve anything, writing (-2)^(sqrtpi) in terms of (2)^(sqrtpi) is pointless, all you did is show that (-1)^(sqrtpi) = cos(pi^1.5)+isin(pi^1.5). BTW (-2)^(sqrtpi) ~ 2.58-2.24i
