Jason Furman, Ph.D. ’04, Aetna Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy at Harvard Kennedy School and the Department of Economics, examines the economic effects of immigration in the United States since COVID-19. Furman previously served as Chief Economic Advisor to President Obama, where he played a key role in shaping the administration’s fiscal policy, including the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as ObamaCare. He was appointed the twenty-eighth Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers in August 2013 and served until 2017.

Most illegal migrants get paid under the table, so I’m always confused why they say they pay into social security and city/state taxes. A whole lot of them don’t AT ALL!

Where is the evidence for "most illegal migrants get paid under the table". I'm not saying they all get paid legally; I'm just interested to know how can we quantity "most". By the way, I don't live in the US. I live on the other side of the pond:). I'm just genuinely trying to make sense of this narrative.
