Harvest, Christmas and Thankyou

@ our area is dairying and mixed cropping not much grain . Down the coast they have harvested some peas. Potatoes not ready yet the poppies are just starting to bloom. Dairy farmers are doing round bails of silage no hay yet weather a bit unsettled.

I have asked steve about the screens in front of the windshields of some of the trucks . I'm form the states and I drove for 20 + years never seen this. If you can comment in a video about the screens that would be nice. Have a Marry Christmas and a happy new year.

Hello there. Is it a Detroit Engine in the Mack. I believe Mack was one of the first of the American trucks to come into Australia 🌏 . Mack B. Of course they make them in Australia now. I see Volvo are a popular truck also.... Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

@@henrymichaelwilson8107 the engine in this truck is a V8 Mack, an E9. We had a small number of Macks sold here from 1919, through the 1920s and 30s, and we got a lot of US Army surplus NRs after WW2. The first B model arrived in the mid 50s and numbers have grown ever since. Mack and Volvo come out of the same factory in Wacol QLD now. All the best for your Christmas and New Year

In your previous video when you were first delivering to The Rock LDC I reckon you were pulled up behind my brother in our d series ford, and in your second load the next morning that may have been one of the loads you took in for us? Is that are 400 v8 9speed and 38 or 44 mack diffs

From factory it was a 400 V8, 9 speed with 4.64s on 38s. That seems to be a pretty common stock standard spec from Mack in the 80s. It’s got a slightly later E9 in it now, it came out of Europe and has the inline pump. It feels like it could be set around 450-500hp.
