Good to see a new video Chris. You have one busy family. I was once told that if you need something done, get the busiest person with no time and it will be done. I was that person.

Precision driving - nearly fast forward then realized you were still OK so just held my breath. Sounds like harvest is going good too.

Hey Chris, I have to wonder if maybe Derby has a local Towing business that would volunteer their services come harvest time and remove those guard rails on both sides leaving safety cones on both sides so the one home sitting at this field sees the rails are removed until after harvesting. If this were done this way it keeps everyone safer as dealing with the rails personally could hurt you or your workers which we all can agree isn't any good. I'd gladly donate my time and wrecker for just such a cause any day to help out Farmers such as yourself. Just a thought 😊.

I see you have same beans where there's vines of green beans but ours was dry in the green areas. I don't like crossing bridges that way but I'm not going to leave the crop there. We do a similar thing here farm to table

Chris, cant you put some piece of rubber or something attached to the front of the stair railings to deflect all of that mess downwards! Maybe an old truck mud guard!1

The combine across the bridge was stressful even for me just watching. (And with the yellow jackets, you would have needed a phone ringing noise to cover up all the noise I'd have been making, just a couple of "clangs" wouldn't even cover that!😁)

Chris that bridge crossing was pretty sketchy is this a new field that you have never harvested before ?
@farmerchris12 жыл бұрын
There is a field in front of it we usually cross to get to it, but it was in corn this year and still standing
@ARyan-ln1db2 жыл бұрын
Great driving Chris. How many times a season do you cross that bridge?
@farmerchris12 жыл бұрын
The guardrails come off once a year for the combine, the other equipment will fit across, this is 1 of 3 bridges we have to cross like this each year.

Need a dual rr flat bridge like they been posting on marketplace. Here lately the ad is always on my marketplace. I could use one but the price is the prohibiting factor for sure.
@vaughnhill34372 жыл бұрын
The yield on that field would have to be extremely high to get me to put my half million dollar combine in that position again after all that. That might have to be ome a hay field from this day forward. You just barely got the old Deere across there. It just barely fit. Im just saying. Is it worth the reward for all the risk lol
@Thecowboy19502 жыл бұрын
Yep no way would I cross that bridge not even with a old cheap combine
