You always leave out a primary factor, that the Chechens have air reconnaissance, and both planes and helicopters provide protective fire against any enemy, so in Kursk there are not many Chechen deaths, while they are numerous in the mercenary side. This is the dumbest thing Zelensky has ever said so far. He is literally handing the Russians the initiative to use tactical nukes first. Frankly, I'm surprised the Russians haven't used 5Kt nukes already in order to demolish the NATO supply infrastructure like the Beskidy tunnel under Carpathians, the railroad hubs and those giant Soviet-built railroad and automotive bridges in Western Ukraine. Conventional weapons cannot destroy the giant bridge supports, and destroying only the upper sections is not effective because these can very quickly be repaired with makeshift road sections. All of these targets are dual use infrastructure, so an attack on those will not be difficult to justify. Using the tactical nukes would be harder to justify, but since Ukraine is not part of NATO alliance, - it's unlikely NATO would respond to them, especially in kind. From the perspective of Russians - the limited (roughly 10-15K) civilian casualties from these explosions would be much smaller than Russian and Ukrainian casualties from allowing the war to drag on for another year or 2. Residual radioactivity would likewise be very minimal. Something like this would allow Putin to win the war on his terms. Personally - I would prefer this didn't occur, but if Zelensky can't keep his big mouth shut, - I'm afraid the Russian command will see that they no longer have any alternatives, particularly if it's not just talk and steps really are taken to produce a crude nuclear weapon or a dirty bomb.

Making a nuclear bomb is really very simple, anyone with 'O' level physics could design one. How effective it would be is another matter but technically you would have a nuclear bomb which would go bang. To make an effective bomb you would probably need to have some expertise in bomb design generally. With computers you could probably do some modelling if you could get your hands on someone's modeling. I think that would be quite effective. Computer modeling is used to predict how cars preform in crashes.

The Russians are already in Kupyansk. Most of the VSU remnants on this Kupyansk-Kharkov axis are pinned down along the Oskol River and all crossings are fire-controlled by Russian artillery and VKS. Once Kupyansk falls (coming soon) -- the road to Kharkov is open and there is no chance in hell NATO planners can set up any kind of a defensive line in the open fields. They are already on the run, they will run even faster trying to slow down in whatever hamlet or village they will be passing. And then ... but let's not rush--we may yet see a fascinating development with new Administration trying to "sell" to Russia an increasingly diminishing asset. Hi I have a question. I don't hear anything about Russian airforce. I think their airforce is quite substantial, modern and strong. How come we never hear about it? How come we never see videos of e.g. tank destructions by Russian military jets? Or even helicopters? Or the airforce supporting ground attacks?

Why cant Russia mount a net sling shot that can block fpv drone, they do not need to fully stop it it just need to block it before hitting them, early blast wont take effect on the armor. Now only ATGM as the only problem but drone will be neutralize

Well I dunno. Seems like Ukrainians are putting up strong defenses in a lot of places, even counterattacking in and around Toretsk while inflicting "very heavy" losses on Rus troops in Kursk. If this is a 'war of attrition" then one may be forgiven for wondering exactly who is attriting whom.
