Where can you go where you get an awesome sound show,then you got Ant,the man that rules.And finally you have the new boy wonder who's been building a few for a awhile.I can see Ants tutorage.And ROBIN'S concert t-shirt rules.The bikes they build,you ask?Words tend to lose value once the eye perceives.Well done HARVESTER BIKES.YOUR CREW IS STRONG.Peace brothers/be safe.

Man,these bikes back in the late 1970s separated the haves from the have nots…I was the latter.All the cool kids in town all had Redline,Torker,Mongoose,Patterson and CYC and boy,they loved to show them off too.

Redline was purchased in Canada by a department store like target, no more flight cranks available here, soon to be low quality made bikes!

@@harvesterbmx Really ,man that sux. I remember when Pacific bought GT back then too. Im lucky to have to gen 1 redline flight cranks in my up coming 86 skyway street styler im getting in 2 days.

so this is a 1984 REDLINE Prostyler (frame).. they came in white or chrome. these are REDLINE forks, as they're tapered, but they're not 1984 Prostyler forks because there's no bosses for the pencil pegs. the handlebars would've been chrome Stuart Thomson Racing ('STR' stamped on the right side and 'REDLINE' stamped on the left side) bars, held on by a white front mount REDLINE 4 bolt neck. the wheels should be white 5 spoke OGK mags with a suntour coaster brake. there was no gyro or rotor. the sprocket was either black TUFFNECK USA or SUGINO with SUGINO cranks. the seat clamp was a suntour 'broken arrow' with a black ELINA seat. i know all this because i have a 1984 REDLINE Prostyler survivor. hope this helped someone!

Redline was my favorite brand as a kid, the only reasonable priced bikes that weren’t from dept store and this one you built is amazing. Can you even find a comp III style tire anymore?
@ck91623 жыл бұрын
You can, but most are the all black. The skinwall and gumwall styles are pretty hard to find, but I have recently purchased a couple sets. It's like a good fishing spot, nobody is gonna tell you where to go. You gotta find them for yourself. Good luck!

When I was about 11 I was rounding a street corner at full speed when my chain snapped. I lost my pedal and the triple trap spun around and took a dime sized chunk of meat out of my left leg just behind my knee. Took 8 stitches to close it up. 30 years later and I can still see the scar. I run Redline Magnesium platforms these days. Haha!

What kind of monster doesn't put flight cranks on their Redline?
@harvesterbmx3 жыл бұрын
cant find them in north america at the moment, and canadian tire (department store) bought the rights to Redline in Canada
@ck91623 жыл бұрын
@@harvesterbmx That sucks. They're still available here in California, but going for $150 at most shops now. It's disheartening to hear that a department store bought the rights to Redline. I hope they don't end up like Mongoose.

Why didn't you use Redline flight cranks, did you get a good deal on se seats? I have seen 20 builds with the same seat.

i managed to get my hands a redline slant 2003 model. Pretty much has all stock components minus the cranks. i paid 90 dollars for it. Was it a decent purchase? i dont want to keep suffering from buyers remorse. the bearings might need replacing as well.

I know right I started riding again so i bought a 2023 redline recon during the depression that had a seat glued to a post combo, plastic pedals and bar ends so I bought some gsxr bar ends, a layback seatpost, a fat touring bike seat, and metal pedals. now it reminds me of the mid school haro backtrail series bikes but its built more like a giant rhythm.

@@harvesterbmx Thanks for the shout back. I never ride in puddles or rain and live in a pretty dry climate. I've done a few builds and installed the spindle sleeves on my 1st couple builds,but after that,it was a royal PITA and stopped making life harder for myself. 😆🤣🤣🤣
