Great vid Dan! Thank you for taking the time to put that together. I just watched 5 different videos on weeping santa rosa and yours is the only one with any real information, and the only one useful to me in AZ. Your channel has been a major inspiration to the rest of us in the southwest. 👍

Thank you for your video. I'm in Scottsdale, AZ and planted a 3 gallon Santa Rosa in full sun, 10 years ago. Although each year between 5 - 10 plums have set and matured, this is the first year for a full crop. I have no other plum trees in the yard, fertilize the tree when I remember, and have all of my plants on a drip system - so, the roots find water from various areas of nearby garden growth. Thank you for the advise when to harvest, or further ripen on counters, etc...,.

Fantastic. I can’t stand market plums. They taste like nothing. I leave my Santa Rosas on the tree as long as possible, since the tree is holding them well. I pick a basket a week of the ripest ones. They are delicious. We had some unripe ones knocked off by wind, so I am trying to salt them. They smell delicious.

Hi fellow gardeners, do you ever get fruitfly that ruin some of your fruit, & do you have any tips to prevent this from happening. We have Santa Rosa plums here where we are but we lost a bunch last year to fruitfly, this year we are prepared with some new ideas to fend them off & get more unstung fruit. We would appreciate any tips that any of you may have. thanks from Australia
