Jill, I LOVE the new format! You did good! The excitement you show as you're talking about planting the marshmallow starts was too cute! I can't grow marshmallow here in northern CA, but they say hollyhocks and checkermallow are in the same family and can be used in the same way. I appreciate you showing how to harvest the root. I didn't realize you are into herbalism. I'm working on getting there too. THANK YOU for all you do for your followers! You totally rock girlfriend!

Thank you, I just ordered some marshmallow root, for tea. I love the idea of growing it myself, I prefer growing my herbs is I can. Thanks for showing the harvest process start to finish very helpful.

What is marshmallow plant

It is a plant that they used to make Marshmallows out of. Not anymore but if you take a piece of the root and either suck on it or put in hot water it will act as a thickener. Will coat your soar throat or skin. Many other uses, tried it and really works.
