I did my fair share of cabbage cutting in Lincolnshire .. way back in 1987 .. along with loads of other landwork and treework when I spent 2 years living away from the City. Then I saw sense and returned back to my home City of York. My short time in farming did teach me to show a lot more respect for all the hard work that the farming community do around our crazy planet. You know best and are great about safety and health when the animals are concerned. You are wonderful with the calves and steers as well as the flocks of hens and turkeys. Callie is growing! She is a good helper and seems to be agreeable about doing some kitchen work with Grammy.

Michigan just passed a law starting Jan 1 that the only eggs sold in the state will be free range eggs, following in Californias foot step. The restaurants will have to raise their prices, already over $7 a dozen in the stores 😮. Apparently Michigan law makers don’t eat eggs.

Farmers know their landscape because they work in it every day, but to a civilian, all the things like knowing which cow is a danger or walking in a lot of mud is strange territory. I always want cabbage after I see them picking it in the field. All I have is Brussels sprouts though, so I guess I'll have to make do. 😂 I hope everyone has had a blessed and loving day today. ❤💚❤💚

Am I the only one who hears a difference in the clucking of the chickens? When Andrew enters with the food, the chickens naturally sound excited, but when Andrew gathers the eggs, the ladies sound a bit concerned. Anyone else hear the difference?

Happy holidays. I think the big concern is that it(bird flu) is spreading in dairy farms (cattle not affected severely like birds are) and you get your beef from the local dairy. pop pop was right to mention the # of cattle farms too.
