Harvesting Herbs and amending Fall garden soil

In this video, I am harvesting a lot of our herbs. We want to dehydrate them to preserve for the winter. We use our herbs in teas, and for seasoning when cooking. Herbs are so easy to grow, and most of them die back when it gets cold and they come right back the next Spring bigger and better than the year before! So, thank you all for watching!!!

It's funny, my sage always comes back no matter how harsh our Michigan winters get. I gave my dad a plant to put in-ground and last year it grew so big and healthy, this year it's just doing OK. Last year my potted one did OK but didn't thrive, this year it's thriving. My dad would *LOVE* to get that 'cotton trash' like he used to get when he grew up in Bama!

I had one sage plant that was gifted to me in 2020 and it died this summer for reason. But I still have the one that I started in 2022. Last year was the first time we used the cotton trash, and I didn't have any problems with it! It's good stuff!! 😉😉

No, we are losing daylight. When I get off, it's not long and it's dark. Mosquitos are still bad so I need to quit staying out there after dark. 🦟🦟🦟

Oh my Ms Linda!! My sister was starting to feel sick last week. Saturday she got some elderberry meds, and picked herbs from the garden and drank herbal tea all day and Sunday she was so happy because she felt soooo much better! I hope you continue to fell better Ms linda!!

Hello Lisa 👋👋wow l bet the table with all them herbs on it smells gorgeous,l just love herbs for cooking,drinking and even put fresh mint in a hot bath and soak my body in it,mint is sooooo good.Our temperatures have plummeted to 7c and in places further up north is -1c with frost so the jumpers,hats and scarf is coming out lol.Great to see you and your never boring so till next time dear friend ❤

Hi Lisa! I was tired of my tomato plants finally cut them down the beginning of this week😂. I left just two different cherries tomato plants in the garden 😂.

Beautiful harvest Lisa. Well I just spent the last hour poling and clamping my Broccoli they 3ft and taller I caged the collards and put a tent over the mustard greens, Iam in VA zone 7 we didnt get the hurricane coming up from Florida but we have been getting rain all week the super high winds started today along with the torrential rains which continues. Thanks! Sounds like you've been very busy in your Fall garden. I feel like I've gotten behind in the garden! We got a lot of rain, but no flooding or high winds. It's still cloudy and sprinkles of rain here and there. I have got to get my beds cleaned out and amended so I can get my plants in. I'm going to miss Thanksgiving! But, you keep up the good work!
