I learned from you on how to breed bettas. I tried it last October 2018, and today I just counted them and I have successfully bred and took care of 42 betta fish! They are still so tiny and some of them are big enough to jar (yes the sizes vary). I am just so happy! Thank you, Dexter!

Hi Dexter. I have some questions regards beta breading. 1. how many time we have to feed the frys 2. till how long do we have to feed baby shrimp to the frys. 3 can ve feed them egg yoke ? 4. After hatching eggs of frys do we have to feed the father separately ? This question is very important because I breed elephants tail . On the 1day end father ate all the frys not once twice 😓... 5. What will be the time period to change water if I change frys into a 20 gallon tank . All this question will help me for my next breading bettas . I believe you mentioned that you keep the male with fry for protection. This is my first time having fry and I was told to remove the male when the fry swim side to side. I have always kept the dad betta where he can see the babies, which are two months old now, should I add him back in with the babies so I don't have to divide my tank?

Hi dexter! Please don't tell me this batch of fish is from the Betta Breeding Video (Part 1) you uploaded on 13th December! I managed to breed mine around the same time but the fry are still Sooooo small! And out of almost 100plus that hatched currently only about 20 are still surviving.

Can you help me? How will be the fry of crossbreeding plakat red female with HMplakat blue dragon have you see the fry outcome?And the chape will the HM still be in the fry or they will all go plakat? The male is over HMplakat 12rays or more, the gene dragon will desapear? My main point in this cross is to bring back the gene strength against deseases of the Plakat. Most of my fry dies with strange deseases...

It seems a bit stress for the bettas to be put in a separate jar but not deflect it from not fighting...maybe you should put a barrier between those bettas...based on my own experience, bettas somehow or will get even more stress if they are facing each other like that without any barriers..thats how some bettas died or they intentionally bite their fins or tail which makes them not beautiful anymore..
