I just found your channel this weekend and am binge watching all your videos. Love the mushroom videos. Love the jam videos. Love the canning and pickling videos. How I found your channel was I was wondering if anyone made jerky out of bluegill and sure enough you had a video on it. And your videos are very informative. Never seen anyone make spruce or balsom tip jelly before or even heard of it but I want to try making it as well as dandelion jelly. I made dandelion wine before.

Hey guys, love your videos and mushrooms. Camped in your area for 20 odd years at the Harbor Campgrounds and had no idea there were that number of mushrooms available. Keep the vids coming.

I love your mushroom videos, very informative and entertaining. I like it when you show how you harvest and sometimes prepare them, unlike some of the mushroom hunters I watch on youtube. Keep up the good work!

+Chris & Kathy Harvesting and preparing mushrooms. I would love to hunt for mushrooms too, and with your videos I feel like I am. Silly. I know, oh I'm not sure If I've seen you guys forage for honey mushrooms. Do they not grow in your area, or are they not in season yet. Thanks for the response, don't worry as long as you guys are making videos I'll be right here watching.

You did an outstanding job on this video thank you. Found a lot of them today but more brown colored anything out there brown but same shape, and they are young? Thanks
@chriskathy98656 жыл бұрын
They can be brown, gray or black. Still all are trumpets. Pick them when you see them, I found some the other day & just picked the bigger ones, went back a few days later & and all the ones I left were gone. I figure a critter got them all & not the two legged kind either. Chris

Thanks Chris for the great words of advice. I went back today because I found a great score of Chanterelles are are closely watching there growth. I look at the Black trumpets and see more and more and the ones from yesterday seem to have turned black like in all the books I have, also a dark purple color. What is your favorite way to cook these?
