The abandonment issues was on full display here it was almost sad to see 😪

Abandonment issues are tough... Everytime someone is showing slight signs of leaving anxiety is growing quicker than everything else. You start to see problems and mistakes in yourself and only in yourself. You'd love to fix everything in one moment but you can't. You see your past where everyone is leaving and you start to imagine the pain you'll go through once the people you let getting close go you leave. All of those things start to crash down within seconds, all at once. Breathing gets hard. You start to hyperventilate, sweating, maybe even throw up. I had it once watching a movie with my girlfriend at the time, I can't remember what the scene was, couldn't hear it. I crawled up in the bed. She hugged me tightly and I heard her voice "I'm here. You're safe. It's gonna be alright. I'm here. Breathe." She kissed me on my forehead. That's when I started hearing the music from the movie again. It was una mattina by ludovico einaudi.

I liked Donna that she found the courage to leave Harvey. Their relationship became unhealthy. They were too dependent on each other.
@opena175911 ай бұрын
No such thing as too dependent on each other. It's called not being able to function with your other half. Donna tried to move on but just couldn't. She belongs to Harvey.
@ilina8410711 ай бұрын
@@opena1759I understand what you're saying, but I think Donna lost herself in this relationship. Her life revolved around Harvey. Rachel tells him in a discussion, "job is important to every person, but it's about having a life and you don't have one." She is focused on his problems, needs and emotions, she has abandoned her ideals and appropriated her goals, his interests come first. These are signs of emotional codependency. As far as Harvey is concerned, the addiction is given by his "need" for Donna, by the fact that he needs her to function.

These are the moments where the show tells that "everybody is human and they can feel weak and vulnerable". Strength is not all about not asking help do it yourself behaviour. If you are clueless and lost, seek it and build your strength afterwards rather than putting ego first

Donna saying she’s not abandoning, she’s doing it for herself is literally her abandoning him lol. Yes she’s not in the wrong but putting herself first is abandoning him lol
@solidmoon826611 ай бұрын
Yup, and the way she went about it was pretty cold too. They've been through the ringer for years as a team and she just up and jumps into another lawyers office, much less someone he dislikes. Him being cross with the fact she's doing that to him is understandable. The fact she took the low road on the matter just compounded the animosity further.

I’m proud of Donna for leaving Harvey. He toyed with her feelings, and outright took her for granted, and he wasn’t even sorry. These kinds of men should never get a mate, they are selfish. They don’t know the meaning of love. They only know the meaning of possession.

EXCUSE ME? You have GOT to be joking. Donna is the one that toyed with Harvey’s feelings. Donna is the one that always took Harvey for granted, and most certainly Donna is the one that doesn’t understand the meaning of love, only possession. Why are you proud of toxic female characters like Donna? As a woman, she makes me ill.

Worst story arc of the entire show IMO. They stripped every character of their key qualities. Harvey's cool, calm, and collected nature in the face of pressure. Donna's loyalty and emotional intelligence, all of it. I understand humanizing characters but this just wasnt believable or enjoyable to watch unfold.

Looking back on the show, you really come to not like Donna much. She knew how much Harvey needed her and his past. Yet she abandons him on a whim and leaves him high and dry? Yeah I know he told her off but she should’ve seen WHERE that was coming from. It was just beyond selfish of her to leave him alone like that
