Great list! Canadian Death Race is indeed something special, the whole town comes out to support. Running through neighbourhoods on the way to the trail someone was screaming out the window from their living room "Go Death Racers!!". Congrats on getting into Badwater for #13!

OMG the outtakes at the end were so fun. I am barely run a half marathon and did not even know there was such a thing as an “ultra” before a friend told me about Big’s Backyard just days before it started. I think I watched it every waking moment from start to finish. So that’s the only one I know of :) Love the channel!

Great video! I live in Alberta Canada and love that the Death Race made your list. My buddy ran it last year. That's way above my level at the moment. I started running about two years ago after about 30 years and just did my own backyard ultra and ran 50km on my 50th birthday. Thanks for sharing your experiences

My dream race is Badwater 135, I started running after seeing Carlos Sá Documentary of Badwater when you won. I'm doing my first ultra this year, "Lisbon Backyard Ultra", very excited! I also know that you are coming to Portugal to run the "Serra Amarela" race, hope to take a picture with you there.

CDR is definitely up there, another one of my favourites is Comrades Marathon in South Africa. If im not mistaken its the biggest ultra in the world, and with the longest history started in 1921.

Great Video - outtakes were hilarious. What's your thoughts on Long Haul? I'm curious as why you keep coming back every year. I just signed up for Long Haul again to hopefully finish this time.

We really love Long Haul and the main reasons are the following: 1. GREAT PEOPLE 2. NICE TO VISIT FLORIDA COMING FROM OHIO IN JANUARY. We stumbled on that race when Kelly was looking for a 100 miler to meet qualifications for Badwater. We’ve been going back ever since.

Fatdog 120 is my top ultra, but its the only 100 miler I have done 🙂 its basically Hardrock Canada with 20 more miles

Fatdog is 100% on my to do list! We hear only positives about that race!

My favorite ultra is always the next 😉. But I get it, there is a hindsight too.😀 Did you ever consider to sit vice versa? I think, it would give you the opportunity to talk to each other and to the camera at the same time. I've heard, Joe Rogan is quite successful using this approach.
