Guys Africa has the most beautiful places to visit. Is safe and thriving. The food is great. Sadly everyone thinks Africa is one country.

Nobody thinks Africa is a country. Everyone knows it's a continent hence the safari trips and holidays to Egypt.

@@distorbia20 well you just did so maybe thats why...maybe you could mention specific countries or parts of Africa....yes it has many many wonderful things that we could learn from in the west but it also has some terrible poverty which we cannot ignore because like Judi says we are partly and wholey responsible still to this day for why parts of Africa have terrible wars and overty,it is still exploited and it still has wars because of the way it was colonised and that is not what gets talked about enough. The west still exploits Africa and uses it for resources and cheap goods etc and also seels arms to corrupt regimes...the west in implicated in what goes on in Africa and we cannot ignore that fact.

@VR-mq3jt not just kids lets help people like those who are genuinely homeless and those who are going through mental health issues. Paramedics often get mental health calls which in my opinion is not right, its not fair on those who really need an ambulance. There should be a service connected with the NHS to deal with mental health. Its down to money again though

@@URFUTUREUK Yeah that’s because the governments of these third world countries are so corrupt the money never goes to aid but funds criminal gangs, weapons and everything else because corruption is what keeps these countries poor. The song has good intentions the problem isn’t the song it’s the mismanagement of money and where it’s actually going, this is an accounting problem not a songwriting problem.

​@URFUTUREUK There is a lot of corruption there (not everywhere) but a lot more than people realise. But a lot of aid has gone to help Africa, but the corruption there is very high. Saying that, there are some amazing people in Africa too, and not all countries are corrupt.

Totally and the west constantly interfering and selling arms to corrupt regimes so they can continue to control their markets and exploit their resources...but they enever talk about that.Most westerners do not know anything about Africa even journalists here..the lack of curiosity and knwoledge of colonialism is shameful.

Get yourselves over to Ethiopia and see the difference it made. Harmful? Really? Sadly recent civil war in Ethiopia has put the country back, but Band Aid saved thousands of lives. That’s all that matters.
