H and M routinely publish rebuttals of articles about them. It is one of their charity's main goals to fight disinformation. They never called out the TIME article for that alleged "falsehood". What I find amusing is this: Harry and Meghan moved to the US, they said, for privacy. I respected and understood their decision at first. But it seems they do not know the meaning of ‘privacy’. - They sat down with Oprah to discuss their personal lives and alleged goings-on in the Royal Family. - They produced a 6 hour Netflix documentary about their personal lives and Royal Family drama. - Harry had a therapy session filmed and televised. - Harry wrote a book about his personal life and intimate family details. - Harry has gone on multiple talk shows in the US to talk about, you guessed it, his life. The way I see it is, they don’t want privacy at all. They wanted to keep their Royal titles without fulfilling Royal duties. Those titles are the reason for their lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix. This is my opinion anyway.

Many people who watched the several interviews and Netflix documentary subsequently criticised the couple. I think people are mostly just struck by the juxtaposition of them demanding privacy with such public interviews, biographies and documentaries. It’s somewhat an oxymoron.

Harry said he wanted a ‘quieter life’ shortly after announcing he and Meghan would step down. Yet we have seen him and Meghan document their lives on camera. Not so quiet. Harry told James Corden on his show the British press was ‘toxic’ (which I won’t argue with, they can be) and he had to get his family away from them. But he and Meghan have given them every opportunity to write about them with the content they create.

To this lady nothing could ever be MM’s fault. I’m not blaming Megs for everything because it takes two to tango but taking some responsibility would go a long way with the public. I personally think MM had a very short-sided view of what it would take to get on in the royal family and when people didn’t jump when she snapped her feelings she felt unhappy & blamed everyone except for herself for her own unwillingness to take the time to build trust (which usually takes years).
