I have been to a garden party at the Palace for the centenary of the National Trust. It was so hot and nowhere to sit except for the grass. We were lucky as there was not a huge number of people there, probably about a 1,000. The food and drinks were amazing. If you get to go, make sure you have eaten as the portions are dainty. It was a great day, and we really enjoyed everything so much and an honour for us all. A few chosen people were chosen to go and have tea with the Queen and King Charles in a cordoned area. We were able to walk around the grounds and sit on a couple of benches placed in beautiful gardens the size of a park. Mobile phones were not as good, and we were not allowed 🚫 to take photographs. It was such a shame because a few pictures would be nice to look back on. The invertation was beautiful in white with gold embellishments. I count myself as being very lucky to have been to one of the famous garden parties.

As one currently undergoing cancer treatment, I can attest to the fatigue, and the importance of keeping stress at bay. Undoubtedly, the King is experiencing, and been advised of, the same, and kept Prince Harry at bay, the tone for an in-person meeting set when he rebuffed the offer to stay at a Royal residence.
