Here's the thing: If you can factually and calmly defend your opinion of disliking something it simply can't be called hate, no matter how negative the opinion is, because hate is an abstract feeling that makes one loose all inhibitions and reason. The problem actually lies with you, enthusiasts, you "just don't care" as you yourself stated. Us "haters" (more like voice of reason) do however care about defending our opinion and calling bad entertainment out for what it is. Everything that is only turn-your-brain-of bullshit is objectively bad, no matter the entertainment value. That is the reason why entertainment made for kids usually fails, whereas things like How To Train Your Dragon work instead. Garnt is the only one now who's opinions about anime are worth a damn on this podcast anymore, since he's the only one that actually sort of cares. Joey isn't watching shit unless it's a confirmed masterpiece or he's read the manga before and even then he'll probably need convincing, while Connor has the most basic simpleton mindset about the 2 most popular shows of the season and if it's not pure high octane action every episode, he calls it boring and mid. There was a time where I wished these 3 would talk about anime more on the podcast, but with takes like these, how little they care about story and how quickly they call a show mid/boring without giving a logical justification why, it just becomes annoying to listen to them. (Again with the exception of Garnt since he at least trys to explain his opinions beyond "le show bad because I bored"). Sticking to Gigguks videos on seasonal anime is actually worthy a listen, compared to this vague complaining about "this show boring because I said so" aint it.

@@farhanfarr8368 Yes and no. That being said, there was also this expectation that, at least because of the presence of Garnt and Joey (Connor was not as well-known as today back then), we would get a podcast where three anime fans discuss anime and have interesting discussions around it, because both Garnt and Joey were known for their anime content. And in some cases, we did have good discussions, but it's definitely become more and more questionable, especially as Joey started caring less and less. Which is disappointing for the people who watched from day 1 and already knew at least Garnt and Joey (in my case, I had even watched some of Connor's stuff, but I only realized how much of a monkey brain he is because of this podcast). My main issue with demon slayer was getting impatient and reading the manga and realizing the whole story has been mid the whole time, but it’s glaringly obvious without being carried by the nice animation. People say that the infinity castle arc is great, but they totally fucked the power scaling and some victories are cheap AF and the whole thing is very rushed. @@alkji5606 FYI, I’m going to talk about the complete series, so if you haven’t read the manga you might find out things you don’t want to find out. The animation is stellar and I very much enjoyed the first 3 seasons. Reading the manga kind of took off the rose colored glasses, as it wasn’t carried by animation. The power scaling in the later arcs is massively fucked, so much so that there needs to be convenient plot devices to allow the protagonists to win. Also, with that power scaling, it’s suuuuper convenient that certain demon slayers met certain demons at certain times, or else they’d be decimated. If Douma went to the Swordmaster Village, he’d decimate everyone. Probably my biggest issues were with the Muzan, Akasa, and Douma fights because of how cheap the defeats were. They had to nerf the fuck out of Muzan to even have the ghost of a chance. I do want to see the whole thing animated and see how things shape out, especially the Kukoshibo fight.

It makes sense for bigger shows, because there is more content. The reason this trope is “dying” is because we get more streamlined shorter shows compared to the 100s of episodes before. Season 3 just puts flashbacks in the middle of fight scenes, which kinda kills viewer investment. Also, there were so many backstories that some of them felt like carbon copies of each other (Genya and Muichiro especially). And the backstories were just too damn long for an 11 episode season. I genuinely can't wait to see everyone's reactions once the final season comes out. Season 3 has changed a lot of peoples opinion on demon slayer because it's been the weakest season but I think this seasons purpose was to show the power of the slayer mark which gives the slayers an equal fight towards the upper moon demons. Last season was an example of a extreme high difficulty fight. Tengen is considered one of the weakest demon slayers and he didn't have his slayer mark unlocked. Not only that but he was severely injured so it would be a harder fight. That fight set the standard really high, I know the fights this season were pretty anticlimactic but this season is the start of the end. The slayer marks, nezuko conquering the sun, muzan now trying to come after nezuko. This season was more story building than action which sets up for the next season. By next season I don't mean the hashira training arc. I'm just hoping hashira training arc doesn't get the same hate season 3 has been getting, it's a super short arc and there's little to no actual fighting. I truly believe that the final fights and season are gonna shock everyone. People keep calling demon slayer boring because they're only focusing on the action rather than the story which makes doesn't make sense. Yeah the fighting is good but I feel like a lot of people find it boring because they're just waiting on the action. Their expectations are high and when the fight doesn't meet their expectations they start talking down on it 😭

Is a show really worth watching if you feel like you're just waiting for the big hype moment the whole time?
@ohav3893 Жыл бұрын
Isnt that all shonen? Waiting for the next transformation in dragon ball, the next big fight in naruto, etc. That isnt really a bad thing of course you watch shonen hoping to see hype fights and moments, shonen lives off that

@@mightymallardz768 Yeah thats the thing, Zenitsu is only good when he's asleep and not talking. But when he IS awake/talking, he's completely insufferable
@PengestAsian Жыл бұрын
Dang, do people really dislike Zenitsu that much? Season 3 was easily the worst so far by a longshot, even if Zenitsu wasn’t crying the whole time. I’d much rather have the great build-up AND payoff from, say, season 2 with Zenitsu doing his own things than having a very underwhelming season overall without annoying Zenitsu. Part of that is just because of the manga not fully fleshing out certain characters from the Swordsmith arc made it hard to actually care about any of the main antagonists. The manga in general was a bit disappointing tbh anyways, so I was somewhat hoping the adaptation would add a little more that the manga failed to do
@prod.a.b.i.l1930 Жыл бұрын
The entertainment distract arc was leagues better than the Swords Smith village arc. Muichiros character arc took up 4 episodes that i was genuinely frustrated every week that a new episode came out and we were still on him 😂

also the way they won the fight from upper moon felt like plot armor hantengu literally standing there doing nothing to mitsuri even though upper moon was supposed to be much stronger.

Probably because the way the fight goes in entertainment district arc showcase how strong and scary upper moon demon is. Meanwhile sword smith arc completely screw up the power ranking in upper moon demon by having a demon get one shot after a flashback.

This is just my observation on the terrace arc in oshi no ko. I am reading the manga and I love the anime. Maybe the reason they speed up that arc was to make the viewers tell that something was off and something will happen. Was the pacing a bit fast? Yes. Did they convey the point? To me also yes.

Heavenly delusion is actually amazing. It was my second favorite of the season after Vinland Saga. I totally agree. There's so many different mysteries surrounding the characters and world. Not only that but the two main characters as well as kids have rather complex personalities. Well, maybe not so much the kids quite yet. I hope the anime is able to stick the landing as Garnt said.
@CoconutJewce Жыл бұрын
Hard agree. I haven't seen Vinland Saga season 2 yet, but Heavenly Delusion was definitely my favorite of the season. I loved the world and the mystery behind everything, and how it wasn't immediately obvious like some other "mystery" shows. My only problems with it are that it didn't explain everything super well (how the eugenics program created superpowered children or what exactly Mina was, or what caused the apocalypse and why there's a utopic haven to run the eugenics program, etc.) and that it didn't end very well. The ending was my biggest concern from like episode 8 onwards because we still had most of the mystery to solve plus Robin/Doc and Maru's story to wrap up...and it really didn't end at all. lol Still loved the show though.

I don´t think Demon Slayer as become a "sleeping" anime. What happens is it just fell off of its highest peak. It always happens with trendy anime, where they get very highly anticipated and then slowly not talked as much in the begining months or years. Don´t get me wrong, it still has millions of fans worldwide, and many are still following the series, is only a small portion who drop for whatever reason. 10:30 I kinda had a similar opinion, I think they should have made a twist where the "evil" twin would have used his brother´s name an passed as him as a way to atone himself. What a missed opportunity.

Dude you just didn’t pay attention to the show, they actually explained why Aqua has reached Akane on time, it’s because the typhoon was coming and they know Akane went outside(message sent in their group chat). @@Mia-Taylor-Love-Live I think he's cool too. He is distant and secretive, but also disciplined, socially experienced (being alive for 45 years), and socially connected. When I said not likeable, I mean that he is rarely vulnerable with others, so he doesn't give others, including readers/watchers, opportunities to empathize with him. We also know his ulterior motive, so we have reason to distrust most of his acts of kindness as means to an end. Avoiding spoilers, I think the author's point is that Aqua is prolonging his own suffering by his self-absorbed attachment to his ultimate goal. This generally makes him unlikable because the reader/watcher knows how he could be have peace, but he thinks he the only choice he can make excludes his happiness.
