Great video! Since you asked for improvement here’s some quick tips. -Most people already know how FNAF works, you don’t need to introduce it to a new audience - Set a “thesis” for your opinion of the game - Good use of cuts in the breaks between lines to speed up the video like a vlog, although the cuts are a bit choppy -Good use of vocal inflection, a lot of new video essay youtubers are monotone - The music loop was a bit repetitive -Show us the examples of the weird sounds when you talk about them -Fade out the end of the video so it doesn’t end abruptly Just subscribed! I look forward to more videos in the future

Great video, I did hear a few audio glitches where some of the audio did get split weirdly, however I enjoyed it and how you walked through the whole game and it's mechanics. Some time stamps or having categories on the screen for a few seconds wouldn't hurt, but that's just my personal preference (you're more than welcome to not add any)

William kills to get remnant, to test the theory that kids can apropiate animations because puppet (Henry's daughter) got killed and was transfered to it. That because his kid was killed by fredbear and he wants to "put him back together" The bite of 87" was made by mangle because she doesn't appear in fnaf 1 (she was not a toy animatronic) the fnaf 2 location was only open for 7 days and for kids to disassemble her so fast and for employees to give up is unreasonable

Although I think it was not as important for you to explain all mechanics of the game, because nowadays everyone is already aware of them I guess. However mentioning certain mechanics to prove your point was good :)

i think theres a lot of really bad and stupid gameplay choices that scott made while making fnaf 2, like all the cameras being useless and animatronics almost all being the same. despite these issues, i think fnaf 2 is successful in its goal of being panicky.

I'm another youtuber and I'd love to give you some advice because your channel looks really good! The script is great and all and I think its really well done however I think the thumbnail could show that its fnaf2 a bit better. Btw I think fnaf2 is a great game my fav being fnaf1. I love the animatronics from the game but unfortinutly even with the nice cameras its just a game of music box, check vents, flash light and wear mask. I think the mask is overrused as a game mechanic. I've worked on some fnaf fangames before and I think its best used as a 50/50 split between mask and flashlight. I love the chaotic nature of the game though. Btw purple guy hid the children in the suits so he wasn't caught and no one would find out because no one would check the suits. I hope this helps! My only problem is how hard it is. (Ok that's just a skill issue) I thought I'd be fun to spend some time thinking about new mechanics to make the game harder without just making the funky robots move faster. Once I'm done I'll edit the comment to include the mechanic explaination, if you're interested in that thing. Ok so after night 2, there's a random chance that the right vent light can be disabled during 2, 3, or 5 am, the animatronics now make robotic sounds when they're at an office vent. But there's also some benefits, mostly having to do with the music box since it's so annoying, such as: the music box won't go below 10% during that time. Or, the music goes down 2x slower when using the cameras. I didn't give this that much thought cause I don't care that much, cause even if I did, it's not like anyone would ever care enough to read all this, and hold Scott at gunpoint until he adds this in a game. Anyway that's all.

The best part of FNaF 2 is where Mangle gets scrapped & dismantled, & the child still inside him is put into an endless limbo for eternity while the other Toys get to go to Heaven. That's my fav part. Anyways, I honestly wish Scott had given at least 3 more characters a different mechanic than the mask or flashlight, that would've made the game more interesting in terms of mechanics. Other than that, & Mangle, the game's actually pretty decent.

What you said in the first minute is exactly what I say everytime I pitch FNaF 1 to other people or when rambling about how awesome/cool/innovative the first game is lol
@XelanaterEllevanox7 ай бұрын
I feel like FNaF 2 is more of a challenge-based game when compared to the original (especially with the Custom Night presets). From around Night 4 and later, all your focus is on keeping the music box round up and flashing Foxy enough so that he doesn't get to you. All the other animatronics are there just to pull you away from those things. Unlike the first game where if you focus only on Foxy, then there is still uncertainty for when the other animatronics reach your doors. During later nights in 2, there is not much uncertainty because when everyone is active, you can expect someone to be there just about every time you pull down the camera. I think 2 is still a good game, but the gameplay was not as refined as it was in the original.

This is really well made, especially for a first video. The overall commentary was great, especially since majority of the time first videos can be very monotone and awkward since many of us aren't use to speaking in that type of way, including myself. I just want to give some feedback to help with making other videos. - With the type of video you made, I don't think the whole breakdown of the fnaf series is necessarily needed. It's good to build a foundation and to inform people that may not know about the series, but I feel like majority of people who watch this video will already have a good understanding of what fnaf is really about, and are looking for your opinion on the subject. This just depends on who you want your target audience to be however. - The cutout at the end was very sudden. I didn't initially expect the video to end by that point and was caught off guard expecting to hear more. That could be taken as a good thing though too since it shows that I was very interested with what you had to say. I would just try and have a lead up to the conclusion. Not like a whole background music fading in type stuff but more of the script coming to an ultimate conclusion, summarizing points made in the video in either a serious or humorous way, depending on the video direction. - Could just be me, but I feel like using in game clips as examples when talking about certain things with the game would be better instead of photos. Example could be when you talked about shining your light in the hallway. Including clips using the flashlight in game would be a better representation instead of just the photo used in the video. This could also lead into different mechanics in the game, such as foxy or balloon boy as well. - Music didn't fit the video too well for me, not the type of music you used, but just how it was used in the video. Changing the music each time you change subject, like say when going from talking about fnaf 1 to fnaf 2, or talking about the minigames. - I feel like the video could've been given a little time to breathe in between, having breaks between topic changes to help emphasize the point you're trying to get across Some of these honestly might be small nitpicks, but I really like the direction of the channel and the production of the video. Great video again, and I'll be checking out your channel to hear whatever more you have to say.

Great video! If you didn't say at the start this was your first time writing a video I would've thought you'd done this sort of thing before. One little criticism I have is that sometimes you lost the core question. You spent a bunch of time talking about your opinions on Fnaf 2 - which was great, don't get me wrong, I was engaged the whole time - rather than how perception of it has changed over time and whether or not it still holds up when looked at as part of the rest of the series, which is what I think of when I think of if something has "aged well" or not. That might just be me, though, since I just finished watching. Again, super awesome job, and I'm interested to see what other videos you make next!

(Not to mention that, again, the minigame literally has the Puppet putting the suits on bodies that are not in suits. Scott included a remastered version of the minigame in the FFPS ending, so it's not like it was retconned. 0:22 Didn't critics tear FNAF apart, calling it a garbage jumpscare simulator whose success must be solely attributed to the reaction it gets out of Let's Players? 0:58 Wasn't there a similar divide in the horror community calling it "Not a real horror game"? Overall: A bit too much subjective opinion stated as fact, for me, for example, FNAF 2 was much "scarier" than FNAF 1. As I was already an adult when the first games came out, the ambience didn't ever really scare me. But FNAF 1 was much easier to read and anticipate than FNAF2. Only 4 Animatronics and tells when you were dead. Only Foxy really could catch you offguard. On the other hand, with 10 enemies in FNAF 2 that is a lot harder. And stuff like the withered was devious and very hard to anticipate

No I did not. The gampelay is some of the most repetitive and mind-numbing in the franchise, there is absolutely no strategy whatsoever, it's all just hoping that a morbilion things won't attack you at once, the music box makes the game an absolute hell. The dread, easter eggs, atmosphere, awkward and lifeless animatronic positions, cramped, calustrophobic office and the animatronics in general being dead, dusty and eerie? Fuck that! The game is ridiculously oversaturated, the office is WAY too big, the animatronic positions are always super dynamic, they are ALWAYS staring at the cameras, everything feels like action figures put up by an 8-year-old, all the creepy easter eggs, hallucinations, the way things shifted and distorted because the building itself is haunted? Fuck that! Everything is squeky clean, always remains the same and there is absolutely NO atmosphere. The obnoxious siren that plays whenever something's in the hallway or near a vent is litelarry the only mildly unsettling ambience. This game feels y far to be THE most rushed game Scott relased that was not updated or patched. And who can blame it? The guy made it in *3 months* probably relased it right as the build he got was actually playable.
