The obvious thing to do is allow Diane Abbott to stand as a Labour MP and be elected. She can then be safely left on the back benches but with the control of the whip. The story will die. Sadly for Ms Abbott, her legacy will now be mired in a messy end which simply didn't need to have happened.
@boneroaster88j76 ай бұрын

@thisismetoday6 ай бұрын
6:32 She makes the party unelectable?! That argument makes no sense whatsoever. She was democratically elected in a landslide! What Starmer is doing by kicking her out is highly undemocratic. She has been given a mandate. What is making Labour highly unelectable is purging left-wing candidates, who truly care about their constituents more than about money and power. This recent behaviour has turned me off. And I doubt I’ll be the only one. Starmer didn’t have to do anything to “make the party electable”. It’s a false pretence. The high dissatisfaction with the Tories meant they are able to come to power in any case.
