I have one perfect all 10 hazard protection module, The other two modules are two nines and two tens. When you add them all up it gives me 29% resistance to all. I did this in the last two weeks and I ended up burning through about 50 or 60,000 nanites. To get these.

While playing the Leviathan expedition, I was hesitant to have HG give me X class upgrades because of my experience of them being mostly substandard to my existing S class upgrades. And before watching your video I was wary about completing the phase objective. So you have removed my doubts, I thank you for this.

This is amazing! I very quickly gave up on X-Class (aside from Hazard Protection, which doesn't really have an S-Class equivalent), as I was pretty much just getting sub-C results on a regular basis and it felt like I was throwing nanites down the drain even trying. I dabbled in them in Leviathan due to the price hikes and noticed I was getting better luck, but didn't even really think about it. If there's a semi-realistic shot at S+ quality now, I'm down to roll those dice. Thanks for the info!

I only use the x-class hazard protection for environemntal protection and my best is a 9/8/7/3, which took me hundreds of rolls. This is HUGE for me! Ty for the vid ^^

Thanks for a great video, I understand the numbers side a bit more each time I watch your videos. I have crunched through a hell of a lot of x class modules, sorry, I didn't count them, but I now have in my ships hyperdrive 4 x 298ly modules, 1 x 299ly module and 1x 300ly module. My multitool scanner has 2 x 10-10 and a 10-9, currently working on my starship shield, at this point I have 4 x 36 and 2 x 37, it's very time consuming as you would imagine.

Apparently, for the Forbidden Exosuit Modules from the Sentinel Shards, the Shield Strength values that I got were always at the lowest ~10% values in all cases where the other stats show the highest percentages. The shield strength sometomes maxes out at 34%, but that is when there are 0 to 2 other stats showing percentage values.

Yeah, I got two 10/10/10/10 hazard protection modules yesterday. I wasn't even using the min maxing method of using a lot of c-classes. I was just casually shopping, bought two of them and they were like this.

I'm guessing the X-Class Upgrades were buffed in preparation for the Expedition. Previously, my experience with X-Class was that I was more likely to get worst results than my S-Class, so I stayed with them. But as part of the Expedition, all the rewards from completing milestones will be upgraded to X-Class eventually once Community Research hits the required level. If they had kept the old X-Class, people by and large would be getting worse upgrades for their gear than the S-Class. Watching yourself, Beeblebum, and Jason Plays doing the speed run this time should be very interesting. ;) Thanks again Xaine. :)

I was in the middle of min/maxing my ship and was using the X mods for fodder...Until I saw a hyper drive of 299, a perfect 40 point Hazmat. Life support over a 100/70...Blew me away. I was breaking down c class solars for the 3 green mods lol. Not spending 700 nanites for green mods! Got my solar with a 132.9 up to 2800 LY! Somebody did something to these X class mods! Appreciate the confirmation. Thanks!

I was noticing how great the rolls on random x class mods were last night. Do you have any information on something similar happening to the sentinel mods as well? I've been getting really good exosuit rolls from those without having to do nearly as many rolls as normal.

Oh wow!! I actually have a 10, 10, 10, 10 x mod I got on my Blighted expedition save. I knew it was good but I had no idea how good. It was the only one given to me and it was the first roll on it during the expedition.

Ok, you convinced me. As a stats roller, i think it's time for me to get my best fighter with close to perfect damage (98.6%) with near perfect rolls on "S" class upgrades, on a new trip for "X" class upgrades. And yes, i've met a lot of high stats players in this game. On top of that, some "X" class upgrades have better max stats than "S" class upgrades as I understood.

I love this information. I just wish that the stats would be better than S-Class and not showing only one upgrade stat like when I tried to use Phase Beam, it had only Heat Dispersion, while S-Class had both Heat Dispersion and Damage. I'm hoping they didn't nerf the modules.

This is great got my infra knife up to 93 thou damage and found that don't need c class tech to move the seed like times of old, just move the teleport receiver from tech to inventory then back to tech moves the seed 1. found a great x class on 10th package open, so reload then move the teleport receiver to inventory then keep moving it in and out of tech to inventory 9 times, then on number 10 open my x class, its great way to move the seed other that using c class. hope this makes sense.

Thanks, I was playing with this on my expedition save last night, and cracked open 13x X-Class Hazard Protection modules. 4 upgrades were Quad +10%, 4 were low values (2 or more +2%'s) and the rest were Double or Triple +10%'s with the rest at +8% or +9%. From my results I was pretty sure things had changed from last time I did this, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I had stopped using X-mods because it seemed a waste of time, almost all junk. Then just recently noticed I was getting positive results from recently acquired X-mods, so it seems to me they are useful now. You have just confirmed my recent experience, so thanks!

Thanks for this video. Also I've noticed that the god rolls are easier to get in permadeath expedition than they are in normal mode. I had to buy MANY more X class mods in Normal mode vs Permadeath. I'm not sure if this was bad RNG or not, but it may be worth testing.

I was wondering why the last optional milestone reward was upgrading memory fragments from S to X as, while I knew X's had a high range of variability, I had *never* managed to get anything actually worth keeping. I had just assumed X's were meant to just act as more early upgrade filler until you start using S mods. Then, close to completing Leviathan I opened an X Hazard mod and managed to score four 10's, though that just led me to think they were only just boosting the numbers in Leviathan for them to actually be a reward, kind of how mod prices were bumped up within the expedition Didn't know they were also bumped in the mainline modes.

I pulled an X class scanner upgrade that had a +10k% for all 3(flora,fauna, and minerals) and +50% range. Shortly after I realized I had put it in the wrong multitool 😒 Oh. And don't tell your friend I have a perfect hazard module 😜

what I've found is that in survival its easiest to get better Xmodules .. while in normal its very hard to get maxed ones ..Ive got several 10-10-10-10 hazard protection ... But as I said its easiest in my expedition 7 save that in my old normal savegame
