Me too. Brooks was a genius man. Genius. I don't use that word lightly (see, my avatar). The word that comes to mind is...inimitable. I think he was assassinated. It's just so painful not having him around. He was so SMART, so FUNNY, so RIGOROUS, so NUANCED, so CHARISMATIC. The dude was a burgeoning political SUPERSTAR who, imo, was murdered. Something about his death, the timing of it, just felt off. Do you think Epstein really committed suicide? Of course not. Brooks was preaching truth to power and the powers that be needed to eliminate him before he could proselytize too many people. No tinfoil hat here, I don't buy that he died of an anomalous SCE (sudden cardiac event).

@@tarnation1010it’s not that they’re always right according to themselves. I agree with you that the OP is deluding themselves to always feel correct, but the trick Op is playing to always feel right is well understood and has absolutely nothing to do with POV or the bias that comes from judging yourself. It’s that OP says they always “prove true.” This means even for people who haven’t shown they are bad, OP doesn’t count that as being “wrong,” they just haven’t revealed themselves yet. When it comes to suspicion that someone is a bad person, you can “wait and see” until either party dies and always feel that you’re right, since there’s no criteria for determining when you’re wrong. It’s more of a linguistic and epistemological trickery than one that depends on subjectivity.

About 740k Arabs left their homes due to the War of 1948. But why 170k Arabs did not leave? Why today, does one half of the Arabs have (or pretend to have) problems with Israel, and the other half not at all or close to none? If the Arabs, and their spokesmen, were interested in peace and statehood, why are their peace talk tactics always about delay?
