I feel like it wouldn't be all that difficult to have another hero/reason to patch up whatever problems they're having because they have essentially limitless solutions since it's a work of fiction, set in a universe full of superpowers and science fiction. Also, I feel like it gets exhausting when they try to tie every single thing together across all heroes and stories, because it makes it hard for characters to develop and for their stories to expand without trampling on each other eventually, like it is now. I do think there comes a time to sort of restart / create a new universe separate from the old one

I love the shows DC puts out and the new Batman was good so if they make more stuff like that everyone would love DC so much more, plus I think another problem is the fact they only put the same 5 heroes in their movies, if they made a Batman movie but it had nightwing, Jason Todd all of them it’d probably be well perceived, and along with that if they included characters like Martian manhunter into their justice league movies it would make it way better

Agreed, Will, about the end of GoT. The show runners rushed the ending and failed to tell the story. They wrote it like a TV movie that needed to get from point A to point B without telling the story in between. They were SO bad at telling the story that people didn’t understand the point of the ending: The good guy didn’t win. Bran was now a hive minded being, who orchestrated the destruction of the happiness of even Bran’s (or the being formerly known as Bran) own family to get on the throne. In the show the character would say, “I am not Bran”, but David and Dan would ‘tell, instead of show’ that fact. No one in the story believed it, and no one *watching* believed it. A lot of folks were satisfied that “Bran the Broken” became king, instead of being dismayed that he manipulated the destruction of a number of relationships and enabled the killing of a lot of people in order to do it. The scope of Jon and Daenerys’ romance was cut short, so people didn’t care about it. Jon was set up to be the hero, but his heroism was also manipulated by his “brother”. He seems to get his way by getting sent beyond The Wall, but this also further neutralizes this now broken hearted and demoralized man. I’m curious how the show will address the aftermath of the final battle, and “Bran’s” reign. If they yada-yada over it, it’ll be disappointing. And then there is Daenerys… She actually grew into and developed good instincts, but was ultimately undermined by Tyrion, who is not as endearing a character in the books. Dany sacrificed everything to be the stereotypical good leader Westeros needed, but the depth of her sacrifice, alienation, and the betrayals against her were not given appropriate air time. Bran manipulated the people around her, as well. I hope GRRM lives long enough for it to make her descent into primal anger make more sense. Maybe she even understands she has an enemy greater than the Others, but can do nothing about it. Who knows. The story was told SO badly for the last three seasons that it soured me from the franchise, and even the deep lore from the books. And yeah, I’m a NERD, for the people about to comment “who asked?” about it.

Yeah. The animated continuity part of the DCEU was mostly banger after banger. Also The Harley Quinn animated series is a BANGER as well. Actually the DCEU streaming series were way more enjoyable than most of the movies. Even Titans was better than most of the movies. But Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, and Young Justice were AMAZING.

I'm so glad Hasan brought up black Thor because that was my very first thought whenever it was mentioned that Marvel has been guilty of the same thing. By Odin's fade is s completely unhinged and insensitive thing to write. Also almost every line is written in rhyme, you know because of rap. But not as unhinged and insensitive as the last DC cover. The cover with Hawkgirl manages to be racially insensitive while simultaneously misogynistic AF. I am legit surprised that those covers flew under my radar because not only do I follow a lot of comic/ comic related Twitter/ X accounts but I also follow a SHIT TON of Marvel, DC, and just comics in general subreddits.
