It's primarily because he has made so many connections. That is what has saved him. He is "friends" with nearly everyone on twitch. So they all come out and defend him no matter how insane he is. Not to mention. He got away with saying everything is basically a bit and he shouldn't be taken seriously for a while. Then when he tried to be taken seriously again while talking about politics, it bite him in the butt. Cause he would take the most extreme position and no one would know if he actually means it or not. That's why you get so many defenders of Hasan basically saying "Lighten Up" over and over again when you point out anything he does. Or all the people saying he has never done anything wrong and you are just nuts. His defenders are honestly even worse than he is. He tried desperately to put himself into a basically untouchable position and it failed miserably.

He had an American show for a while. I didn't watch but I remember the Americans finding him condescending. I think there were some problems with that show. This new show seems better.
