Ngl, this video really motivates me to go to a place this guy's insufferable viewers would gather. I'd record their reaction to one of these videos. Ideally they will go off on a long rant about how stupid the new generation is. After that, I'd flip the script on them and start asking them 5th grade questions that they WILL get wrong because it's mostly trivial knowledge that they forgot a decade ago. Not sure what would be more sweet, their shame, or hearing them explain why they're totally allowed to get the answers wrong because their standards don't apply to them.

The teachers aren’t the issue. The teachers do the best they can. The system is set up to promote poor education and teachers are forced to comply to some degree, and face a lot of pressures from admin and other sources. Standardised testing being used to determine school funding is one of numerous issues with education systems. The teachers are regularly blamed for the results of the flawed system, but it’s not something that can be solved by throwing money at it (that said, I agree teachers should be paid more in America).

@purplepotatoes9255
@purplepotatoes9255 2 жыл бұрын
It's also fairly ridiculous, when thinking logically. Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a singular pail of water? Really? 2 people for 1 (one!) Pail of water?? No, they were definitely up to some sort of mischievous activity. Besides this, going up a hill to fetch a pail of water? When considering how this is often depicted in media, it considers this action to be committed through the help of a well. Of course, this fails to consider that the nature of water would have it settle in the bottom of a hill. Water flows down, between grains of dirt, so to build a well on to of a hill instead of the bottom of a valley is simply illogical. Its very possible jack and Jill do not exist, or, if they do, the live in an illogical society constructed to make everyday actions such as fetching water more difficult for everyone involved by putting wells on top of hills, making it harder to both build and access. This society could, potentially, be constructed by a group of psychopathic sadists who care only for others pain.

The Kurds, would be an example of a Stateless-Nation.

Past generations aside some millennials didn’t have access to a figurative gold mine of information in their hands since almost birth, and an ease of learning that even as close as boomers could have only dreamed of having. This is just willing ignorance by a refusal to learn basic facts you should have known and are available at your fingertips tbh. @@Justicejuice179 Most of this info is also mostly useless. The nursery rhyme has no way of helping me in my day to day life, neither does knowing the names/faces of the individuals on the currency I rarely even actually use these days (with digital transactions being so popular). I know a few African nations just from learning about mythology, because that interests me some, and trying to volunteer aid for the Sudanese conflict, and I knew the Koala one instantly cuz... well... I love animals. None of that actually helps me in my day to day life though. To say "See, this is why the downfall of America is upon is" is kinda silly. If you asked somebody about their job or interests and then trivia questions based on that, and they had a kind of surface level knowledge? Sure, that's one that may show reasons for decline. What would REALLY be funny, at least to me, and more indicative of anything, is if you started asking these people on how to vote, file taxes, what types of insurance they need, how to jump a car, budgeting, etc etc. Many of these are required life skills that just... aren't taught... Our school system and the guardians in their lives have, quite often, failed them. That's where change needs to happen.
