When my kids and I saw this on Hasbro Pulse livestream, we were excited. Finally getting the Cantina, that I watched as a toddler and my kids watched when they were small. I couldn't believe that they did the Tonnika sisters and I am glad they did. My daughter does not know about them, but now she is rewatching " A New Hope" to spot those sisters, because she believes they look incredible. Hasbro Star Wars team, Jing, Chris, Emily and the rest have outdone themselves. I am happy they did. We are getting all new Luke, Obi Wan, Han and a partial Chewbacca makes me happy that TVC will continue to World Build. The 3.75 inch is for Life as my kids love that scale and I know they will impart that to their kids, so we will be going on 4 generations as my Father enjoyed collecting that scale for me. Bossk's Bounty(Tim), as a TVC community in the Bronx NY, USA, we appreciate your reviews and critique of all Star Wars TVC products and continue the good work. I will backing a deluxe and a base.

It’s nice to know there are still kids out there who love Star Wars, especially SW 3.75 action figures. I find that rare nowadays. I hope I can pass on my love of Star Wars and my love of collecting unto my future children. I would be thrilled if at least one catches the Star Wars collecting bug.

@@Camtono_Collectibles Is not rare in The Bronx, as all the kids I know, maybe 800 kids, still play with 3.75 inch action figures. My kids friends and my family, buy and play with 3.75 inch figures. Is sad to hear in other places is rare.

This is a much-needed good day for TVC. The Cantina looks outstanding and the pipelined figures were a wonderful bonus. Hasbro should be commended for the detail and modularity it has built into this. I will be backing it.

For me this may have been my happiest day as a lifelong Star Wars 3.75” collector. As a classic monster fan, that cantina scene really captured by imagination the first time I saw it on the big screen when I was ten years old. That was the moment I understood what world building was even though I didn’t know there was a word for it. World building is my favorite part of my job as a professional comic book writer and it all goes back to this. I even spent a lot of time watching my “Danger at the Cantina” film cartridge on my Kenner Star Wars Movie Viewer in order to relive the experience since there was so little released images of the cantina scene, or anything for the first few years Star Wars existed. The Cantina playset looks perfect, right down to the heads on the wall that I didn’t expect to see incorporated. All the figures look great, and my number 1 spot has finally opened up on my March Madness bracket now that the figures I’ve wanted most for almost 30 years are finally getting made. With the Tonnika sisters coming, I almost feel like if Hasbro killed the line I’d be satisfied with what I have. I do think more cantina patrons will be coming. I suspect that as we move forward with the campaign, Hasbro will reveal more of what’s to come in order to drive up interest in the HasLsb by showing how it will be supported. I’m sure we’ll see some single carded figures like Momaw Nadon, but I also hope we see a couple of four packs of characters that aren’t cut out for wide release. I’d love to see a Hare Mouse, Garouf Lafoe, Yerka Mig, Tycar Ryjerd, Danz Borin, the other spacemen, and the second Duros. I know this won’t happen, but I’d also love to get a Jerba to stand outside by the dewback.

Great overview Tim. 👍 Just a few thoughts I’ve put together below. Most likely there’s nothing very original here, but if there is perhaps they could be brought up in tonight’s livestream. I can’t make it I’m afraid, we’ve got friends round, but will catch up tomorrow. Detailing - the detailing looks good, walls, steps etc, but could do with an ink wash to create some weathering and bring out those details. Is this the kind of thing the community should be making known to Hasbro? Floor - I know there’s lots of talk about the floor or rather lack of. I’m interested in what people think about the lack of floor, but also in what people will display this on? I’m not exactly sure what the Cantina floor should look like, but am thinking wood laminate, like my sideboard in the study/collection room is not going to look great. I’m thinking of trying a craft cutting mat, they’re tough, rubbery and can hopefully get them fairly plain. Might work a treat and prevent the set slipping on a polished surface. Deluxe v Basic - this is huge so I’ve backed a basic as just don’t have a single space or surface in the house the deluxe can sit on. I think I could be convinced to change my mind… modularity is a brilliant feature meaning it can be displayed in sections on shelves etc. Figures - love them all, and can understand they need to pull people in to buy this with the temptation of popular demand figures like the Tonnikas or Greedo. I really hope the #ReturnToTatooine campaign will provide some more background patrons. I’m surprised they didn’t go for Hem Dazon in particular as his head popping up is so iconic and synonymous with the Cantina. Accuracy - Ive seen some plans on social media that suggest the deluxe side is less accurate than the original design… any thoughts? Do the band have a bandstand? Cups - Do we need so many cups.. I noticed some of the carded figures also have cups 😂 Lighting - How well do people think it will light for photography/display? The photos Has to took looked great so hoping it will be good, but the alcoves may be a bit dark. Does anyone think lighting could/should have been included or sets sold separately maybe on completion of the Haslab? Value for money - a lot of chatter in the community about it being overpriced, what do you think? Are some people priced out of these offerings? Could there be a payment plan? Outside - live that they have in true outside entrance. Really hope we might get to build this out with figures ( Garindan maybe? 😁), Dewback, spherical vehicle, re-release of Luke’s speeder, sand troopers.

This trully is a dream come true for so many of us. I have already backed 2 deluxe. I love everything they announced today with the exception that they specifically said Wuher and Tonnika figures will not be made available outside the Haslab. That is extremely foolosh as many carded collectors like me would buy two extra sets outside the Haslab. Really hope they backtrack on that as that is the only dark cloud hanging over this incredible awesome announcement. We're making the wolf man too, don't you worry.

Yeah, but outside of hardcore completionists nobody is going to be buying Tonnika sisters or Wuher. Those kinds of super niche characters really don't belong in a mass produced mainline anymore; they'd pegwarm forever.

@@enrique6335 I think you underestimate just how many hardcore completists there are. They could have even done an additional tier like Sabine and Chopper, if you back another 3000 units, we'll make these available for sale on POTF cards or something along those lines. Carded completionists are now buying two sets of those instead of just one as an opener. So now instead of just 1 deluxe Haslab at $500, they've sold 3000 more units plus $120 more worth of the same figure on a different cardback.

This is my first HasLab and I am *excited*! (I wasn’t collecting when the barge was offered, and everything since hasn’t motivated me enough). I’m pretty much strictly an OT collector, so you can keep all your clones, Bad Batch, Clone Wars, etc - this is right up my alley. 😁 My only wish beyond what we’re getting is that they would offer the option to include an additional loose, bagged figure of the carded ones for an additional charge. I think so many of us want the carded figure as well as a loose one to display… Of course I realize this may reduce sales for those who could afford to purchase two, but realistically (cost and display space-wise) I think it would benefit both Hasbro and the collectors. Nabrun Leids was originally released in 1999, as part of the POTF2 "Cinema Scene" collection. He was then repainted and released in 2006's Saga Collection as a two-pack with Kabe.

I think a deal could be done exclusively for this set to release the Tonnika Sisters. I wrote a comment about the likeness issue of the actresses being solved but it was made invisible on Pulse site, suggesting this might still be a sensitive issue. Don't expect the Tonnika Sisters to be made available elsewhere. Now about the price, this is deep, but when you think about it, $250 for a base offering and $25 for 6 figures each equals $400 (I presume Hasbro priced the set knowing it would reach 17000 backers). Of course cheaper would be better, but again, the Tonnika Sisters were really the last never made figures from the original movie so I am quite happy with this offering. The sisters make the Haslab successful to me, otherwise I would have preferred a vehicle, such as a Marauder with Bad Batch crew or a Dooku's Solar Sailor from the prequels. Another time perhaps. Having said that, it's absolutely NECESSARY that Hasbro proposes in 2 years from now (2026 for 2027) a gigantic Haslab DEATH STAR to celebrate A New Hope's 50th anniversary. There might never be another opportunity for this.

It’s very nice , I wish I had the perfect setup and space. Center of the room , a proper custom painted dio floor, definitely a dewback on the outside. Also a custom removable roof with custom dry brush. It’ll definitely hit 17,000+!!!!! It’s not for me , too many cups I wouldn’t use .

What if you have the funds and several times you try to pay it won't accept your payment?? Hi Bossk, this is a long time desired set, I'm in at 1000% despite some little letdowns. The floor it's not essential but it would have been nice (with pegs!) and I dreamed a lighting LED system, at least for the bar. Maybe the most critic is that I don't see a regular space for the Modal Nodes! On the good side, overall looks terrific and the façade for the entrance is chef kiss. Some people criticizes that accurate movie sets are not cooler as the playsets that adapts the set for kid playing (like the original Kenner sets). Not agree, as an adult collector and SW toy worldbuilder I want exactly this (like the Carbon Freezing Chamber or Jabba's Palace). Very glad with the selection of figures included and tiers, hope that we will get all 🙏🏼 I will buy the deluxe version. Keep the good work and cheers 🍻

Well Tim, I haven't been collecting modern or TVC really in quite some time, but the more I see about this Cantina Haslab & and the return to Tatooine stuff, the more they are reeling me back in. In all honesty due to space constraints, I wasn't even considering backing this project. But I'm actually getting a little bit hyped about it. I probably will revisit the idea of backing it closer to the wrap-up of the allotted time frame that we have. And if I do back it, I would definitely back the deluxe version, because why not. I certainly think this one will back, and would like to think that it would hit the 17K needed for all of the tiers. Thank you for covering this. But I'm pretty sure my wallet is angry with you at the same time. 😅

Given that it's such a high-end item, the modular parts/Alcove walls should be weathered/textured on both sides, (ie including the curved archway entrances on both sides of the bar). Front and Back, so outside/extended dioramas can be set-up and displayed.

I like it myself personally. Expensive, but nice. The only thing that bothers me is that the amount of 3D printed cantina's that I have seen already, this does look to me that its missing something?? I think it's because some of the stuff I've seen people make.... well, some cantinas look bloody amazing. Can't wait to see what most people think of this HasLab. Great video as always 👍
