Really nice box set and I like the added paint it really helps the figures. If I could have gotten this set as a kid I would have loved it since the ones we got back in the G1 days weren’t that impressive. This set doesn’t work for my collection but I appreciate the review so I can still check it out.

Agreed. I initially compared this guy next to CW Devy & PoTP Predaking and agree that that should have been Hasbro’s target for scale. That being said, they would have had to figure out how to make the cars scale properly with the current WFC/Legacy Deluxe vehicles, which may be a legit reason for the smaller scale Menasor. That being said, I’m sure engineers could figure out how to make it happen, but maybe the transformation would have been too complicated for typical Hasbro mainline figures or more likely, costs would have risen too much for the bean counters at Hasbro to be happy with the resulting profit margins. I picked up the DNA kit and it helps, but it still isn’t the right size. At least Menasor is a tad taller than Jetfire (too me, this is the most egregious scaling comparison problem).

FansToys was the only company that seemed willing to deal with the scale issue so the vehicle modes scale better with the other carbots while the bot modes scale better with MotorMaster but that's MP prices there.

That's actually an ingenious way to incorporate the rest of the trailer. I tried to just use the extra part as a form of makeshift wing for Menasor but this better helps keep the profile.

Since I always prefer toy deco over cartoon deco, seeing the review has made this more interesting. However, there are three things I don't like about it. 1) I already have two of the five figures which I have to sell when I get this. 2) The local price is a bit much: a deluxe almost 30 euro, a commander almost 100 (less than 220), but it costs 250 euro. And I think a set should be cheaper not 30+ euro more expensive. 3) I really hate that they didn't paint the lower legs of Menasor. With the toy those were the chests of cars and they're detailed to look like them, but they're not painted. Oh, btw, that silver on Wildrider's car hood is derived from the toy sticker.

Now you need the DNA kit :) One note about that is the hand cant hold the gun so you may want to choose which hand to swap or just plug it on the forearm

I'm a little mad that we got a better paint job here than when I got it one by one. I prefer the toy colors to the TV colors.

They completely missed the whole point of Combiners with this one. The separate Stunticon vehicles are supposed to BE the arms and legs of torso Motormaster, not just be stuck to him in pieces like an afterthought. Even the vehicles 'forming' Menasor's legs are on the wrong way round, so that you can't even see them. It was a terrible idea. The only thing going for it, is that it looks and is better proportioned than the Combiner Wars monstrosity that we got.

I caved in and got this set mainly for the bot modes. It's still disappointing that at a larger scale they fall short when compared to the Legends ones. Hasbro really needs to step up their game.

The thighs are painted because they share a sprue with parts that they wanted to be black. They either have to mold the shared parts in black, or grey, and paint the incorrect ones that result.

Tbh i dont really like the dragstrip changes it just makes him look more lost in the sea of orange but i love the new wildrider with the new colors.

It may seem small compared to CW Devastator & PotP Predaking, but that's largely because Legacy Menasor basically *completely replaces* CW Menasor, fitting in with the likes of Superion, Defensor, Bruticus, and the rest of the Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors/Generations Selects/Power of the Primes peeps. But it's out already...that makes things extraordinarily difficult for me. There's other stuff I wanna get! (SS86-21 Ultra Magnus seems to be already out in the Philippines at least, there's the MP45 Bumblebee KO, still tryna find the Legacy Transmetal 2 Megatron...)

The only issues I have is that the sword is not sized enough. Motor master should have had 1 sword for bot mode and a second larger one for combined mode. 2nd problem is you can't do anything with the turret tower while menasor is combined. They should have include a small clip/peg to make it a backpack while combined or turned it into a giant cannon for him to hold. Outside of that I feel it's perfect

The lack of “decepticon” means that Hasbro didn’t need to add it for licensing of the characters name.

I just can’t be anything but bitter about this set, because the normal Breakdown has never been made attainable and now, probably never will be. They never made enough of him, never distributed any of them anywhere near me (and I live in a major metro area), and now they’ve diverted them and are making other versions. All for a figure they half-assed and shortchanged in the first place, but I have the other four, so I still need him.

My son just got this for Christmas. He's alittle too young to transform the whole thing all the time. Two things I don't like. 1. The trailer is too short. Overall it's nice but too short. 2. The chest plate for Menasor is awful flimsy and just riveted into the plastic. I doubt how long it will last. Overall a cool set though.

To this day, the only figure I have ever seen in stores is Dragstrip so getting this set was ideal. Now I'm stuck with 3 of the single Dragsrips. Still, he looks the best so I can keep two for sure for bot and vehicle modes.

Just noticed why are the legs backwards designed ? they where always on the front i guess cause you can make Menasor without the stunticons.

Funny enough. For original G1 Menasor the cars were actually on the back of the legs. It’s cooler when they’re in the front, but they went for accuracy with this. And I can’t really be mad at them for that.

Too bad they Sold out 1st week just to resell on ebay I hate Pulse exclusives. I mean you think they sell as many as they could but I already have the 5 an really not much of a difference. Motor masters suppose to combine with his trailer they keep getting that part wrong.

It’s available on Pulse again. Things almost always sell out instantly, but unless it’s removed from the storefront it’s safe to assume it’ll be restocked eventually.
