The faction logo comes the Wreckers Tread & Circuits, it the logo for the 2019 iteration of Mayhem and it only lasted for 4 issues. I been collecting the characters that originated from Bandai and their characters bios appealed to me a lot.

Malleus Minotaurus was Solus prime's helper who was kidnapped from the Wreckers by The Mayhem Attack Squad. The smaller blast effect didn't come with Smashdown. The other charcater from the two-pack is Prime Universe Breakdown.

Well seeing how next years line is being based on the thirteen primes , Malleus was probably thrown in as a last second easter egg for the next line and the symbol on Malleus his head is Solus Prime's symbol not an autobot symbol seeing how Malleus transformers into the Forge of Solus .

While Malleus works as a Forge, I like to think he's meant to be Breakdown's hammer. Because the Wreckers could not use the Forge well, let's get that right.

the symbol is for the mayhem attack squad, the "anti-wreckers" that this collection is meant to represent. the logo is a combination of octopunch, skullgrin, and submarauder's faces, since they were the leaders of the group in the comic the symbol comes from

the tenticle symbol on the box is from Octopunch the leader of Mayhem if i got my facts right. took me a minute to realize that his chest is actually the back of Bombshell and his back in Bombshells chest lol Chop Shop is cool too. love these figures. now we need Venom and our Insecticons will be complete. =)

There was suppose to be a FEMALE insect mech from the original toyline the Deluxe Insecticons came from. Maybe if Venom is a new mold (and not a retool) and Hasbro plans ahead, maybe they could make that missing Insecticon character.

18:07 you’re asking what those are for- they are supposed to tab together and plug into the robot mode crotch in bug mode, so it becomes the locust abdomen that ransack’s original toy had, that kickback’s did not. Also, the antennae do flip around for the locust mode.

He has gotten figures in the past, but under an altered name. They were avoiding legal issues using the same name of a marvel character for a while. They must have gotten the right to use the name again for him. Especially since his figure for next year is Venom again.

Skull feels like Deathshead, but Lockdown was the last one to take that spot. That only really leaves Skullgrin and Bludgeoned, and we already burned thru those. Having a skull for a face turned out to be more popular than I thought, but now I'm stumped.

I like how on barrage the front of what was bombshell becomes the back of barrage and the back the front. Can't wait to get these. Also those guns with barge can be pegged on to either side of the other gun can't they? And then be pegged in the top for weapon storage instead of off the back of the feet. Great video, been waiting to see someone review them. There is also a 3rd part of this collection that was revealed and will feature venom and someone else that I don't know as it wasn't mentioned, it was also mentioned that he'll be a waspinator retool

Like The Wreckers, the Mayhem Attack Squad comes from the 80's UK comics. They were introdiced as the Decepticon answer to The Wreckers in Time Wars, where the membership was the Deluxe Insecticons, the Duocons, Carnivac and Catilla.And they were slaughtered by Galvatron and Megatron, with only Carnivac and Catilla surviving but stranded on Earth where they teamed up with some of the other survivors of the Time Wars. The second incarnation of the team was Snarler, Needlenose, Spinister, Bludgeon, Stranglehold and Octopunch. Their first mission was hunting down Catilla and Carnivac. They killed Catilla and shortly after Carnivac killed Needlenose and Snarler and facilitated the capture of the rest of the squad, who eventually escaped. Bludgeon, Stranglehold and Octopunch would also show up as the Mayhems in Simon Furman's runon the US comics, being teleported to the heart of Cybertron with the Autobot Classic Pretenders and Rescue Patrol, the fight they kick off wakes Primus up and leads Unicron to Cybertron. They play a small part in Furman's Regeneration One comic (a sequel to the Marvel US comics which ignores the UK ones and G2) where the team is Carnivac, Snarler and Roadblock. Mayhem was used as the name of the antagonist group in Sins of the Wreckers in the original IDW continuity but aside from Carnivac being a member there's no link to the Marvel incarnation of the team. As other people have noted, the logo on the box is from the 2019 IDW continuity, specifically the comic Wreckers: Tread and Circuits where they're a terrorist group looking to undermine the government on Velocitron. The only member of the team with any link to the Marvel incarnation this time is Octopunch, but an incarnation of Breakdown based on the Prime character design was also a member, explaining his inclusion in the second box of this selection.

I’m pretty sure the wreckers had a hammer that was like the matrix, passed down to different leaders, springers ss86 has the hammer too, this one actually has the wrecker logo on it this time and can transform

These insecticons, at least the names, retools of the cartoon show robots. Weren’t they basically similar to Jetfire/Skyfire? I remember buying them at Kay Bee toy store under a different toymaker. Also these 3 insecticons were also available through Hasbro back in the 80s by mailing in points similar to Reflector and the deluxe Autobots. Different transformations back I the 80s though for Barrage and Chop Shop.

Hey Balt! I’ve found a cool way to deal with Chopshops weapons to differentiate him further from shrapnel is to use the bug-leg guns as dual pistols, while putting shrapnels original gun on his back facing downwards- there’s *JUST* enough room between the bug legs on his back for the shrapnel gun to fit there.

The Mayhem Attack Squad is led by a Pretender named Octopunch. That’s likely why the whole thing is octopus themed

I missed out on the creatures collide boxset so I dont have ransack but that said, I still want this 2-pack. The deluxe insecticons are more visually appealing and unique imo

These guys look incredible. It'll be nice to have a non-broken Barrage, since my G1's been missing his bug snout for many years. Also, if we get a Venom, I will be sooooooooooo happy.

18:00 You should look at a real life grasshopper to see how it looks. Those "wings things" aren't "wings" at all. Combine them to form the bug'd abdomen. You then spread the grasshopper's legs and PLUG IT IN ITS ASS. There, a "realistic" grasshopper.

I was one the fence about the Creature pack because I wanted Goldbug (or at least I wanted Netflix Bumblebee but it's crazy expensive). It was only when these guys were leaked that I bought it to get Ransack. Can't wait to get my hands on these guys and may Venom be along soon. Would be nice if then they all go released in a gift pack but I'm not going to take the risk.

The leaks for next year list a Venom, so we should be getting one. They still won't be truely "complete" however because there WAS suppose to also be a female Insecticon (a ladybug) that never got made. So unless Hasbro decided to make her, we'll still be short one.

Sounds like a sticky contact in your camera zoom. I'm a video tech and while I haven't serviced your model specifically, you can never go wrong by shooting some contact cleaner (or isoproyl alcohol above 90%) and then just working the controls back and forth a whole bunch. Might fix the problem with it zooming out on its own.

It’s cool perfect for my ransack…but is it better than the og insecticon trio? Well in my opinion: *yes but slightly no* My copy of ransack has one minor problem, that being his left arm (aka your right) is VERY tight! Can I fix it? Yes.Will I? Probably not

I'm sure Hasbro will get Venom out at some point, hopefully with it's own mould so it looks right in both modes. I'm hoping hasbro makes the female ladybug insecticon that never got a toy. I think in Japan she was good but in the fan fictions I've seen they made her a Decepticon. I'd hope if hasbro makes her, they make her an autobot. When I was a kid I ended up getting a blue Barrage from some other company that was able to use the same mould hasbro had (maybe a future repaint 😁). This company had other insect bots and one was a dragon fly, it was my favorite transformers knock off and my number two favorite transforming toy next to Sludge. Blue Barrage was 3rd.

Well Botmatrix, consider your wish granted, because we ARE getting a Venom in next years Generation Primes line. It was leaked with the mass announcement of the figures for it. And not only is he getting to finally use the name Venom again instead of Vernim. But he'll actually get his own mold instead of using someone else's. Sorry Ransack. I opened the chest hatch on Ransack and never regretted doing it, though it was with a bit of hassle. Will do the same on Kickback. Why they put a hatch there but then made it stuck to the chest so it couldn't be opened is just weird. He NEEDS to carry small energon cubes around. Or his extra head, because why not. However, I just don't like the G1 toy versions of these, I think the smaller ones from Combiner Wars, Titans Return and Power of the Primes looked way better and I wanted those in upscaled versions. If I want G1 brick alt-modes, I'll buy G1 versions. Dammit, Hasbro...
