LED TV Backlight Turns OFF, Few Seconds After Power ON. the led tv backlight inverter led backlight driver ic was receiving enable command from the processor but it was turning off within few seconds, reason being that a polarised capacitor was heat up and it was drawing more current, causing to overheat hysteresis shut down. it is using MP3394S String White LED Driver

Few days back,same issue came in my tv, I opened the tv, saw the capacitor was in good shape, not blown so I bought boost module & fix the issue. I should have measure the capacitor farad value but I was in hurry.

some times, the capacitor is good inverter IC, or mosfet is problematic. sometimes input capacitor (input capacitor to the inverter module) also makes problem and sometime DIM/Bright and sometimes Enable signal is missing

I wish you a good day Mr Haseeb. I have a TCL U49P6006 here. It seems I didnt see that the backlight was off and ordered a spare Power Suppy Unit Board. It worked right out of the box. But after a day the Backlight went off. Turned TV off and on. Worked for minute, then turned off. Waited some time and it worked now for an hour. So I'm not sure its the PSU Board or the LED stripes. Or even the Mainboard... Just dont seem to understand what the problem is. Now I could also reproduce a behavior. By regulating the brightness down, the backlight turns off completely, while moving from brightness level 100 to 60 or 70. But even on that way down the brightness didn't got lesser. Is it the led stripe, the mainboard, cable?!

best regards while testing with multimeter, if the meter reading is within capacitor value +/-20%. then it is assumed soeme working capacitor best way to test capacitor is testing with ESR meter

Thanks a lot. I have exactly the same problem with my TV (17IPS19-5P Vestel power board) but when I test the capacitors (two 33uF/100V) at boost converter output they seem like okay. They're visually okay and their capacitance is also seems okay. I've also checked the output diode and mosfet, they are in good condition. I've even replaced the controller IC (the same IC in your video) but I could not get any result. (Turn on signal is active from main LCD board)

please check enable signal at pin 2 and DIM/Bright signal at pin 3 current sense signal at pin 13 Over voltage protection signal at pin 12 oscillator components at pin 5 and 7 are good if these components are good and signal paths are clear. then it must work

@@-koora2day744 I wish it was backlight LED problem. At the end, I got tired of dealing with so small SMD components and replaced backlight circuit with a very crude boost converter. It is working now but slightly dim and not adjustable.

So many different designs working slightly differently. I got a Panasonic with backlight on then off. TV worked for a short time while testing but went bad again. So far I am suspecting corroded joints on led strips.

My samsung Tv has got same issue, when power on backlight comes for 2 seconds then goes off, channel audio comes from tv, but no light, i checked the 100v 47uf capacitor , it's capacitance values are okay. But still same issue, checked the MOSFET of the boost coil that also good, what should I check next
