From what I can gather, Revell thought their own kit of the Draken was to old and crude and went for the Hasegawa reboxing instead. Meanwhile MisterCraft said "hold my beer" and released the 1950's Revell kit.

Indeed! I already wondered where my remarks on the old Revell and Airfix kits went, and now I recall deleting a strange silent clip while editing this vid.. Looks like I'll need to drink some extra coffee next time and push the record button at the right moment! 🥴

I built that Austrian Draken from Revell and would love to build another one in standard Austrian or Swedish colors but these kits are really hard to get here in Austria. And I wouldn't even touch a Mistercraft kit even if it was free :)

Yes, I remember that one from the GBG! And you're right about the Mistercraft kits; I only ever bought a few (still too many) when I did not yet realise how bad they were.. But at least they can serve as an example what no to do!

This Hasegawa kit represents J35F c.n. 35475 in service whith F18 wing. The decal sheet is wrong, as it provides the F10 wing unit crest instead of the F18 one. Apart from the decal sheet , this is an excellent kit in my view.

You're right! The 'Petter Röd' should have the black griffon on the coat of arms.
